Ji Zhile said, “But, I already peeled the chestnuts for you.”

Si Tian was still cold: “I refuse your help. You can eat it yourself. No fried skewers tonight.”

Ji Zhile held the chestnut in his hand and turned his gaze to Ji Ningyi: “Brother, do you want to eat it?”

Ji Ningyi also shook his head: “No need.”

Even if he wanted to eat it, he would not help Zhile persuade his mother.

Ji Zhile sighed, ate the chestnuts himself, and deliberately said: “Forget it if you don’t want it, it’s delicious.”

Si Tian was not tempted by him, so she laughed: “I can peel it myself.”

Pei Jing silently peeled off one and handed it to Si Tian: “Give it to Auntie.”

Si Tian’s smile became even brighter, and she purposely glanced at Ji Zhile: “It turns out that I can eat roasted chestnuts even if Zhile doesn’t give them to me.”

Ji Zhile stopped talking and ate his food silently.

Since they had fried skewers the previous two nights, Si Tian asked the cooking aunt to cook something lighter tonight, so there were more vegetarian dishes on the table. Among them was fried shredded cabbage with shredded carrots but avoided the spinach and tofu dishes that Ji Ningyi did not like.

Ji Ningyi is the kind of kid who would silently eat something even if he did not like it very much. While Ji Zhile was the kind of kid who would yell not to eat anything he did not like it even a little bit and did not eat a lot.

Ji Zhile likes to eat meat. As soon as he saw the vegetarian dishes on the table, he looked left and right. After waiting for a while, he did not see other dishes being served again. He opened his big eyes and asked, “Mom, are there any other dishes?”

Si Tian said: “These are all, you may not be able to finish them all.”

Ji Zhile pouted, but there was nothing he wanted to eat.

Si Tian smiled and said, “Pei Jing, come to our house for dinner when your mother is not at home. Thank you for treating us to delicious sugar-fried chestnuts today.”

Pei Jing was a little embarrassed: “That’s very cheap.”

“It’s not cheap.” Si Tian said, “It’s very precious.”

The sincerity of a child is the most precious thing.

But Ji Zhile was sitting next to him, eating tasteless food. In the blink of an eye, he saw Pei Jing eating a few more bites of stir-fried meat with vegetables. He ate very happily. He could not help but wonder if it was really delicious.

The spoon reached out to the green vegetables hesitantly, scooped up a little bit carefully, and put them into his bowl to accompany the rice.

Si Tian noticed Ji Zhile’s action, and seeing him eat it, she immediately said, “Today’s green vegetables are really delicious.”

“Mom, let Auntie stir-fry vegetables tomorrow.” Ji Ningyi said. He is hardly picky about food.

Si Tian looked at Ji Zhile: “Zhile, do you think it’s delicious?”

Facing the eyes of the other three people, Ji Zhile twitched his cheeks and said, “It should be delicious…”

He doesn’t hate eating vegetables, he just doesn’t like them, but others say it is delicious, so it should be delicious.

He had been praised just now, so he went on to scoop vegetables.

According to the usual practice, Ji Zhile will only eat half a bowl of rice when encountering dishes he doesn’t like. But today, with Si Tian’s coaxing and the comparison between Ji Ningyi and Pei Jing, Ji Zhile even ate a bowl.
