Ji Zhile watched Pei Jing eat the steamed stuffed bun. Unlike him, Pei Jing did not break open the bun and start eating from the inside, but he ate it from the edge to the other side in one bite and finished it completely.

Ji Zhile leaned close to Pei Jing’s ear and asked in a low voice, “Brother Pei Jing, do you like to eat bun skins?”

“Fried chestnuts are nutritious, and eating them is good for your health. Teacher Luo didn’t let us buy fried skewers, and we didn’t buy them.” Pei Jing continued.
