“This plot was almost like a poisonous weed in a police and gangster movie, but in this movie, details were always highlighted and the plot was paved.”
“For example, the four deceased were beaten before their death, so the police believed that it was a revenge killing.”
“For example, one of the deceased had relics given by the male protagonist’s family, so the police suspected the male protagonist. But when someone else found out that the murderer had an adult’s footprint, the police immediately excluded all students and gave up suspecting the male protagonist.”
“After going around in circles, countless clues disturbed the police’s sight, until the teacher called the police and the male protagonist was kidnapped by the murderer, and the true face of the murderer was completely revealed.”
“When I watched it, I sighed that it was not that we were too stupid, but that the enemy was too cunning. Who would have thought that the purpose of the murderer’s killing was not revenge, but protection?”
“The police guessed the motive wrong from the beginning, so naturally, they ran further and further away on the road to catch the murderer.”
“In the movie, the actor’s acting skills exploded at the end. The director filmed the classic gentle eyes that wanted to drown countless fans, without any craftsmanship…”
This god-level film review also talked about many details of the movie he dug up, and he also added screenshots. Finally, he set the tone at the end.
“So, I felt sorry that “Reverse Wheel”, a movie that could have been on the big screen, lost its brilliance due to a variety show. I had to say that this was really a big regret in the film industry.”
“I admired the actor Deng Qin who played two roles. It could be said that his acting skills in this microfilm, if microfilms could participate in the film awards selection, could be nominated for the best actor in the award at the end of the year.”
“As for Director Jiang, I’m tired of praising her and don’t want to praise her anymore. Now I want to ask, how Director Jiang’s debut film “The Spin of Love” was made? How could it be so bad?”
This last question, full of surprise, confusion, and resentment, was flooded on film review websites across the country.
Many viewers began to have conspiracy theories that someone was suppressing Jiang Ting and deliberately targeting her.
Because of this comeback, she, a director of a bad movie who was previously criticized, began to suspect that someone deliberately targeted her with that bad movie.
But the controversy caused by this microfilm was not just that.
Although the industry looked down on microfilms, they also knew that Apple TV made this program for popularity and traffic, and it was not really competing with mainstream movies. Therefore, not many people paid attention to it at the beginning.
However, some directors who had connections with Lu Qian, Zhang Qiu, and Qi Lanyue also wanted to see the current level of these three people. They occasionally watched this variety show and the microfilms shot by the three directors.
Naturally, some big directors discovered the brilliance of Jiang Ting and watched two of Jiang Ting’s microfilms in a row. They were especially surprised after watching this microfilm.
Director Qin Xiang, the first female director in China, wrote a special film review to praise this play after watching it, but at the same time, she also talked about the shortcomings of this movie.
She commented that the time was too short, the rhythm was too fast, the plot was not transitional, the supporting roles had too little room to play, and the picture was not full enough.
Most importantly, there were too few scenes between the minor protagonist and the death row prisoner protagonist, and the foreshadowing was not in place, which looked very hasty.
Director Qin Xiang’s words won the support of some viewers, saying that it was true and Director Qin was right.
However, some viewers who liked this movie thought that Director Qin Xiang was just nitpicking. They were not convinced and asked her to shoot it herself. What was just saying nonsense on the Internet?
Director Qin Xiang did not respond, but they never expected that the other party would make a big move a few days later.
She announced on Weibo that Jiang Ting authorized the film shooting copyright to her and also said that the original team would move the story to the big screen.
Jiang Ting also returned the favor and announced that due to the tight shooting schedule for the microfilm, some important characters and plots were deleted, such as a female lawyer who was dedicated to helping the male protagonist redress her grievances. Now the original script was authorized by Director Qin Xiang, hoping that the other party could make a better movie.
The operation of the two people really shocked the entire entertainment industry.
Director Qin looked amiable, but unexpectedly, she was a hot-tempered person. After being criticized by netizens, she really took action.
The problem was that she and Jiang Ting, one really dared to remake and shoot, and the other really dared to give the copyright.

Translator’s Comment:
Wow… One of the readers actually asked about the Easter egg of “Reverse Wheel”. Hehe…
Actually, the Easter egg of “Reverse Wheel” is never explicitly explained in the text, so I am also actually confused and curious about it. When I read the comment about it, I feel that I have found my soulmate!
But, this chapter actually makes it a little bit clearer.
The movie ends with Big Zhang Kai (BZK) being shot, recalled his memory, and looked at Little Zhang Kai (LZK) with a gentle eyes. And in the easter egg part, he was shot several times and then died, also with the same gentle smile.
This gentle smile, I think, could explain everything.
At first, I also think that BZK wanted to take revenge when he was time-traveling as he killed the children who had bullied him and ruined his future.
But, thinking at the scene when BZK covered LZK with the umbrella and his gentle smile in the ending, I think I am wrong. He is actually killing to protect LZK.
If he wanted revenge, he already did it in his life, although he ended up as an executed prisoner.
So, when he came back, he only wanted to protect LZK.
He wants to protect the smile of LZK, wants to protect him from those bullied people, so he doesn’t have the same ending as him. Let him be the bad person so LZK could have a bright future.
So, the purpose of this film is not about murder and police themes, but warning about bullying in the school, to pay attention and protect the children from it, as the movie reviewer stated. Don’t let another BZK appear.
But…
Yes, in the later part, there is one part mentioned that he is not actually time-traveling.
I think this also makes sense because how can he come back to his world and show the same gentle smile after being shot in LZK’s world? So, is the entire film just his imagination to comfort his soul before his death?
But, since I couldn’t find the truth from the text, I decided to believe in the former part (movie reviewer’s explanation) as it makes more sense and is more meaningful.
I also welcome other readers who know the truth of this! Please leave a comment! ❤️
You can support your lovely translator and your favorite novel by buying me a cup of Ko-fi ( ˘▽˘)っ♨
I will really appreciate it. ❤️❤️❤️

Thank you for the explanation!! I thought I would have to be confused forever haha. I think it could be both, if that makes sense? Both time-travel and him dying. Maybe, when he was executed the “first time,” he time traveled, and when he died in the world he time traveled to, he returned to his original world, only to be executed again. Since the scene ends with him having a gentle smile and the police shooting him multiple times, we know he either didn’t die after being executed the first time, or somehow came back. In this way, it’s more narratively satisfying, even if it’s very confusing, haha
right in the feels bcs he suffered so much and he had to do it himself, no one ever do it for him.. so he protect his other self. This comfort is heartbreaking
Hmm
