BHBF Chapter 53.2

Boss, He’s Becoming a Father (Arc 2) Chapter 53.2: The Bitter Heroine (52)

“You are talking nonsense. How could the price of gold bars rise to two hundred yuan?” someone retorted.

Shao Yu did not argue with him, but said: “Wait ten days and see if the price of gold bars goes up.”

Shao Yu’s confidence made this person feel uneasy. Some of the neighbors present even secretly wondered whether they should exchange their family money for gold bars first.

Shao Yu did not continue to dwell on this question, but asked again: “Do you think rich people are happy?”

The answer to this question is not controversial at all, everyone’s answer is the same.

Shao Yu continued to ask : “Why are they happy?”

“Living in a big house, marrying a beautiful wife, having servants to serve me, and buying whatever I want just by waving my hand, of course I’m happy.” Someone answered.

“So do you want to become rich?” Shao Yu asked again.

This is another uncontroversial answer.

“I wonder what’s the use? I can’t be reborn.” Someone said.

Shao Yu shook his head and said, “It’s not difficult to be rich.”

“You talk like you have money.”

Shao Yu looked at the person who was speaking and said, “How do you know whether I have money or not, since you haven’t seen my hidden wallet?”

“Mr. Shao, if you have something to say, just say it directly and stop bragging,” Someone shouted.

Shao Yu smiled and continued, “My idea is that if I deal with my money in a reasonable way, I can become richer and richer.”

Immediately, a neighbor retorts: “How can you get richer if you don’t even have enough money to live on? You can’t save any money at all.”

“If you can’t save money, then find a way to earn more.” Shao Yu said without thinking.

“There are so many people out there now, it’s hard to find a job, how can you still think about where to make money, steal or rob?”

Shao Yu looked at the person who was speaking and said directly: “Old Wang, I remember that you are very good at weaving bamboo baskets, but I don’t see you weaving them often.”

“This kind of thing is not used very often, why compile so many of them?” Lao Wang replied.

“You can use the time you normally spend playing cards to weave bamboo baskets, and then sell them. You can always make some money,” said Shao Yu.

“That’s just a bunch of money, it’s boring.” Lao Wang said.

Shao Yu calculated: “Five bamboo baskets cost one yuan, and one bamboo basket sells for one silver dime. If you sell five at a time, you can earn three yuan in two months, and eighteen yuan more in a year than you do now.”

One silver dime is not much, but eighteen dollars is not a small amount. Lao Wang stopped talking immediately.

Shao Yu went on to say: “If you change the big bamboo basket into a small one, make it more exquisite, and sell it to those rich ladies who likes novel things in Huayuan Street, you might be able to sell it for a yuan.”

Hearing Shao Yu say this, Lao Wang’s eyes suddenly lit up, but soon, he said, “Forget it, forget it, those rich ladies have seen all kinds of good things, how can they be interested in my broken bamboo basket.”

Shao Yu smiled and Shao Yu smiled and said, “You haven’t even gone yet, and you already know you’re not going to make it?”

Lao Wang listened and was very happy.

Shao Yu added: “If you think like this, you will never get rich in your life, so you should just continue playing cards.”

Before Lao Wang could say anything, his wife grabbed his ears and scolded him, “You play cards all day long and don’t do anything serious. Tomorrow, no, now you go make bamboo baskets for me, and make them exquisite!”

Upon hearing this, Lao Wang nodded immediately, glared at Shao Yu, and then went home dejectedly. However, Lao Wang’s wife was still here listening to the class. She said to Shao Yu, “Lao Shao, don’t worry, I will definitely supervise him when I go back.”

The others did not move after hearing this. Firstly, everyone was skeptical about Shao Yu’s words, and secondly, not everyone knew how to weave bamboo baskets.

Shao Yu smiled and nodded, then continued: “If there is no way to make money, then you should pay more attention to your daily expenses, and some unnecessary expenses can be eliminated.”

After hearing this, a neighbor sighed and said, “Expenses are necessary. It’s hard for us to even survive.”

Shao Yu said to the neighbor, “Sister Liu, your family obviously has four people, why do you want to rent such a big house? Wouldn’t it be better to rent a smaller one?”

Sister Liu said, “I can’t find a suitable house. It’s either too small or too big. I can only rent a house this big.”

Shao Yu added: “Don’t put all that clutter in your extra room. Clean it up and sublet it. Isn’t that also a source of income?” Sister Liu had a conflicted look on her face. Those miscellaneous items were trash in Shao Yu’s eyes , but they were treasures in her eyes. Sister Liu’s face was a little tangled.

She had left at home a leaky kettle and a stool with a missing leg. How could she bear to get rid of them now?

“Sister Liu, calculate the rent of this vacant house and compare it with these miscellaneous items of yours. Which one is more valuable?” Shao Yu said.

Sister Liu quickly began to do some calculations in her mind, but in the end, she could only sigh and say, “Forget it, I’ll clean it up.”

“If you have someone to share the rent with, doesn’t that save you money?” Shao Yu said with a smile.

“She can save money, but I can’t,” said another neighbor.
