“Master, do you want us to harvest these spiritual herbs?”
Ye Huaifeng glanced at his junior sister, Xu Cai, who thought that she was still dreaming. She was harvesting as quickly and with as much effort as she could with the small hoe that she had.
“Harvest them. Why are you still hesitating?” Qian Yan said. “You should learn from Little Sixth.”
Ye Huaifeng’s eyes twitched. He didn’t dare tell his master that his junior sister was only doing it because she thought that she was still in a dream.
Since the master had spoken, Ye Huaifeng also didn’t hold back. When he noticed that Qian Yan wasn’t also digging, he turned to see that she was setting up a formation around them.
His master was becoming more and more considerate.
The three other members of the Chu family rushed over and, upon seeing the dug-up spiritual herbs, were about to charge, fangs bared and claws out.
Chu Qianyan’s parents ran the fastest and didn’t even realize that Qian Yan had set up a formation around the spiritual field.
Ye Huaifeng happened to look up and saw the two Chu family elders colliding with the formation, their faces contorting from the impact. He couldn’t help but burst out laughing.
Qian Yan paid no attention to the two of them and squatted down to dig up the spiritual herbs.
“Don’t leave a single one behind.”
In the past, whenever people from Dengyun Peak would come over to snatch away their spiritual herbs, they too, never left a single spiritual herb behind.
What was this called?
It was called returning one’s favour!
The two elders of the Chu family raged outside the formation, but not a single sound could make its way inside.
Ye Huaifeng realized that his master had added a soundproof feature to her formation.
It was all the fault of the Chu family. They managed to push such a gentle master to this extent.
Chu Xiaoyue didn’t join in the cursing. Today, Chu Qianyan acted very arrogant, and she felt both jealous and somewhat satisfied.
She envied Chu Qianyan’s audacity, but she was pleased to see these two old croaks in this state.
Chu Qianyan was no longer under their control. They were now just two smelly bugs struggling in the mud.
Chu Xiaoyue sneered in her heart. Did they really think they were something special?
Chu Qianyan was also really foolish. If Chu Xiaoyue was as strong as she was, she would’ve kicked these two croaks to the side a long time ago.
She wouldn’t even think about taking them along to cultivate immortality.
If they behaved well and pleaded with her for it, she might have rewarded them with a couple of pills that even her service disciples wouldn’t like.
By the next hour, Qian Yan, Xu Cai, and Ye Huaifeng had finished digging up all the spiritual herbs that were ready to be harvested.
Out of the three of them, Xu Cai was the one who felt the most excited. She was having a blast. She had never felt this triumphant before.
Chu Qianyan looked at the large patch of immature spiritual herbs that remained. Ye Huaifeng felt uneasy. Could the master be considering robbing those too?
“Little Liu, can these spiritual herbs be transplanted to Baoyue Peak? Will they survive there?”
Xu Cai rubbed her hands. “No problem, Master! This is what I’m best at. Master, do you want to dig them up?”
“Yes.”
The master and her two disciples got busy again. The two elders of the Chu family, who were watching all this unfold from outside the formation, were practically fuming. They had been cursing for a long time and were about to take a break when they noticed Chu Xiaoyue standing to the side without lifting a finger.
“Zhaodi, why are you just standing there by yourself? Don’t you know how to lend a hand? Are you just going to watch her dig up everything?” Chu Chengxi roared, startling Chu Xiaoyue.
This damned old thing!
Did he want to scare the living daylights out of her?
“Zhaodi, are you not going to help? Pingyu has helped you a lot in the past. Have you forgotten that?” Yang Fengxiang reproached. “How could you just watch us? Are you not angry at all? You’ve always been the laziest one ever since you were young. You were always up to no good!”
Yang Fengxiang’s words made Chu Xiaoyue’s forehead twitch, and she wished she could slap these two old croaks right now.
Unfortunately, she couldn’t do that just yet.
Darn it! Why didn’t she have Chu Qianyan’s talent? Otherwise, would she be enduring this?
If only she had better spiritual roots, she wouldn’t be subjected to these two old croaks scolding her.
“Mother, Father, I’m not being lazy. I’m thinking about how to make my elder sister stop. We’re no match for her, so even if we break in, we can’t do anything to her,” Chu Xiaoyue softly said, suppressing all of her anger inside.
