As soon as Ruan Qingqing got home, she immediately rushed to the small room where Qi Qi slept.

The small room was empty. At this time, she noticed that the light in her room was on.

Ruan Qingqing’s room was furnished with a 1.5-meter-high bed, on which Qi Qi lay in the quilt. The child was not asleep, but she blinked her eyes and shed tears.

They stopped by a taxi and rushed to the hospital.

There were many people in the children’s night clinic, and there were queues everywhere. Ruan Qingqing struggled for more than an hour, and after the blood test report came out, she finally sat in front of the doctor holding her child.

It was a fever caused by a common cold. The doctor prescribed some medicine. Ruan Qingqing finally felt relieved.

On the way home, Qi Qi had fallen asleep. She held the child with difficulty until she got in a taxi when she was finally able to breathe a sigh of relief.

Her whole body felt as if she had been hit by a heavy punch. As she watched the numbers on the taxi meter getting bigger and bigger, her heart began to tighten.

She didn’t have much money left.

After a lot of effort, she finally got home. Ruan Qingqing covered Qi Qi with a quilt.

The child’s back was slightly sweaty, and her forehead was finally not hot.

Ruan Qingqing gently wiped her cheeks and hands with a warm towel and heard the nagging of Ruan’s mother in her ears.
