“I have been taking care of you for more than ten years, but I have never heard that you have known Zhou Mingmin since elementary school! It’s not something shady, why didn’t you tell me?” Sister Wu asked.
Over the years, rumors about Mo Sui and Zhou Mingmin have spread a lot.
She thought that the two people had deep conflicts. Who knew that they only had a quarrel in elementary school and could still hold grudges to this day?
“It’s been so many years, so I can’t remember it anymore,” Mo Sui said.
Sister Wu was happy. One look at the smile in Mo Sui’s eyes and she could tell that her relationship with Zhou Mingmin was extraordinary.
If the other person was just an elementary school classmate whom she couldn’t remember clearly, how could she be so happy just because the two of them started talking again?
“Then, tell me, why did you two quarrel before?” Sister Wu asked again.
Mo Sui pursed her lips: “I can’t remember.”
Sister Wu didn’t believe it and narrowed her eyes: “Because of the conflict between you and Zhou Mingmin, I have dealt with so many troubles. Several reporters in the circle have called me several times to inquire about the situation. There is no credit, but hard work, right? Tell me quickly what the quarrel was about.”
“We just went to the flower and bird market together before and we had a fight.”
An An blinked.
Flower and bird market…
It sounded very interesting. She also wants to go too!
“Then what?”
“Then, there seemed to be a little quarrel…”
Sister Wu knew Mo Sui’s temperament.
Her mouth was stricter than anything else. No matter what the reason for the quarrel was, as long as it was something she didn’t want to say, no one could ask.
She said: “If you can remember it for more than ten years, you must have been really hurt… But it’s all old news. In the entertainment industry, multiple friends are better than multiple enemies. Now both of you can just let it go.”
Mo Sui said nothing.
Speaking of it now, it might just be a very boring quarrel, and it might even be laughed at.
But in fact, going back more than ten years ago, she was standing under the shade of a tree that summer, feeling sincerely sad about the breakup with her best friend.
Children’s quarrels were actually very serious. Sometimes if you turned around, you would never see each other again.
Even though they used to hold hands and go to and from school together, they were good friends who could cut a piece of rubber in half and use it. They could even share the sizzling tenderloin that cost one yuan a bunch at the school gate.
“When two hands are held together, they are good friends again!” An An said softly.
Mo Sui smiled and pinched An An’s little face gently.
Yes, it was not that complicated.
Best friends from more than ten years ago met again after many years. All they needed was an opportunity to make all the unhappiness in the past disappear.
It was just a small conflict in the first place, but An An held their hands together and it became an opportunity.

Ruan Qingqing waited patiently all afternoon and finally waited until Mo Sui took An An home.
She stood by the window until she watched the mother and daughter enter the apartment building. She estimated the time and came out of the house.
When they opened the door, the time was just right. Mo Sui and An An happened to be holding hands and stepping out of the elevator.
Ruan Qingqing walked to Mo Sui as written in the original plot
However, just as she was about to speak, she saw Mo Sui walking toward Xiao Qin’s house.
“An An, Aunt Xiao Qin invites us to come over.” Mo Sui said.
“Great, I can play with Sister He He again!” An An cheered.
Ruan Qingqing’s face stiffened slightly when she realized that Mo Sui was turning a blind eye to her.
But, she still suppressed her embarrassment and took Qi Qi with her to Xiao Qin’s house.

Translator’s Comment:
No!!! Why don’t you finish your story, Mo Sui???
Well, when reading and translating this part, I remembered something from my childhood.
This happened when I was in the 4th grade of my elementary school. One of my friends (Friend A) wanted to prank another friend (Friend B). Friend A said to me and my other friend not to be friends with Friend B, and said that it was just for fun and not real.
At that time, my other friend and I just nodded. Then, we didn’t talk and play with Friend B.
I remembered we didn’t play with Friend B for several days. Then, Friend B cried and asked why we didn’t want to play with her.
Then, my friends said that it was just a prank, not real. So, we were friends again.
But, I really haven’t played with Friend B again since then.
I felt that our pranks were too cruel to make my friend cry, so I was afraid and too ashamed to face her.
It was not until we met again in high school. At that time, I didn’t know why I greeted her first (maybe because I am already grown up), and when she responded with a smile, I thought that the bad past was forgotten.
Sometimes, I deeply regret that event. If I have enough courage to face her, maybe our friendship doesn’t need to be frozen for years.
Btw, I am closer to Friend B than to Friend A. So, yeah, I lost my best friend for more than 6 years.
I deeply touched with this quote by the Author-sama:
“Sometimes if you turned around, you would never see each other again.”
Let’s us value and respect our friendship and try our best to maintain it! ❤️❤️❤️

I will really appreciate it. ❤️❤️❤️

RQQ…even knowing about the plot is going to inevitably result in changes 😓 hasn’t she noticed that other events haven’t happened the same as in the book? MS isn’t drinking, her husband is hanging around…I’m disappointed that she’s being a stereotypical stupid antagonist, and is perfectly fine with her husband’s crappy behavior because (per the book) she gets him in the end.
In regards to friendship…I have also lost a few very good friends over silly or seemingly minor issues. In the end it always seems to come back to communication, or lack thereof…it is strangely difficult to take the first step and start talking. On the one hand, you wonder if they could really be such good friends if it was so easy to lose them, on the other hand, maybe it’s because they are such good friends that it means too much to easily make a move, so you sit in awkward limbo indefinitely.
Dear translator, a very similar situation happened with me.
When I was really young (I forgot exactly which grade), the female classmates in my class told me that we will all ignore Girl A and not talk to her. Girl A was not really a close friend or anything. To me, she was just a normal friend or classmate, but the fact we would all ignore one person made me feel really sad so I ended up crying very loudly and very much. I cried so much that even the teachers were worried what happened. Girl A also asked me what happened and obviously I told her the reason. I don’t remember what happened next exactly, whether this was prank or not but Girl A became friends with all the girls again. And thankfully I wasn’t even isolated for making it a big deal or anything, I still had my friends.
But the fun thing is Girl A remained a closer friend with them than me. And now we don’t really talk. (I don’t mind since she wasn’t that close of a friend anyways though)
