Bei Yutang shook her hand off.

Lin Shi was furious, “You have eaten the leopard guts, you dare to fight with me.”

Bei Yutang pushed her away, walked past her, left the room, and walked to the yard. The sunshine outside the house was very strong and the air in the mountain village was fresh, which made her groggy head sober up a lot.

Lin Shi chased after her and saw Bei Yutang standing in the yard with her head raised.

Bei Yutang knew that she had come out, but she did not care and just walked out of the house. Lin Shi called her, but she ignored it and went directly out of the courtyard.

“Where are you going? Come back here.”

Lin Shi roared behind her, but Bei Yutang seemed not to hear her.

The time she is entering now is actually a very good time. When she goes back in the evening, the Wang family will have a showdown with her and ask her to divorce Wang Si.

Bei Yutang chose to come out, not because she was distracted, but because she did not want to work and she did not want to hear Lin Shi’s chirping scolding.

Bei Yutang walked along the fields of the village. The current houses were somewhat similar to the world she lived in. They were all adobe houses, with no reinforced concrete buildings in sight.

An era has its own style.

She met many women on the road, and they all greeted Bei Yutang warmly when they saw her.

“Did your mother-in-law let you chop firewood in the mountains again?” A woman asked.

Bei Yutang responded softly and continued walking forward.

“This daughter-in-law of the Wang family is also pitiful.”

“Who told her to take on that shrew Lin Shi?”

The two women were talking as they walked.

Bei Yutang wandered around outside and already had a preliminary plan in her mind. After the sun went down, Bei Yutang returned back to Wang’s house.

As soon as she entered the door, she saw Lin Shi’s dark face. Bei Yutang ignored her and walked to the kitchen. She opened the pot and saw steamed buns inside. She picked up two and ate them.

Lin Shi chased after her and saw that Bei Yutang dared to eat steamed buns. She was so lawless.

Is this steamed bun something she can eat?

“Put down the steamed bun, is this something you can eat?” Lin Shi yelled angrily.

Bei Yutang seemed not to have heard her words and ate a steamed bun in three or two bites. But, the other steamed bun was snatched away by Lin Shi rudely.

“You didn’t do any work today, but you still wanted to eat. You’re dreaming.”

“When I’m working, I don’t necessarily have anything to eat.” Bei Yutang said coolly.

“You still dare to talk back!”

“This is not called talking back, this is called stating the facts.”

Bei Yutang walked past Lin Shi’s side, went directly out of the kitchen, and returned to her own room. As soon as she returned to the room, she locked the door.

Bei Yutang took out two warm steamed buns from her arms. These two steamed buns were put into her arms before Lin Shi arrived. As for the steamed buns that Lin Shi snatched away, she deliberately let her take them away.

Bei Yutang was eating the steamed buns slowly, and soon she heard Lin Shi’s roaring and cursing coming from the kitchen. She regarded it as nothing but air and heard nothing.

At night, Bei Yutang counted the time and muttered the countdown silently. When she was about to recite it for the fifth time, there was a knock on the door.

“Bei Yutang, come out.”

“It’s very late, I’m going to bed. If you have something, we’ll talk about it tomorrow.”

Lin Shi was very angry with Bei Yutang today, but when she thought of what her son had told her, she could only hold back her anger and said in a soft voice: “I won’t pursue the matter of steamed buns, you open the door. I really have something to discuss with you.”
