[QTC] MBDT Chapter 81

A recipe was like being engraved in her mind.

The next day, after Bei Yutang had a hasty meal, she said to Xiao Zimo: “Mo’er, you just stay at home obediently. I’ll go out and I’ll be back soon.”

Xiao Zimo nodded and watched Bei Yutang leave.

When Bei Yutang arrived in town, it was still Chenshi¹*辰时, chénshí: 7-9 am (in the system of two-hour subdivisions used in former times)  and there was still an hour before lunchtime. Bei Yutang found Fuman Restaurant, the largest restaurant in town. There were no customers in the restaurant.

When the waiter in the store saw Bei Yutang entering, he looked up and down at her clothes. A flash of suspicion flashed in his eyes, “Auntie, what can I do for you?”

Auntie?!

When Bei Yutang heard this title, she staggered and almost fell down.

Well, now she is the mother of one child. Counting up, at this age, in the plane that she has just experienced, is only an age that is still in college.

It’s considered Auntie level here!

Bei Yutang shook her head, almost forgetting about the things of this world.

“I want to make a dish for your shopkeeper.”

The waiter was stunned and then laughed: “You cook? Auntie, do you know where this place is? This is the largest and most luxurious restaurant in the county. The dishes inside are all the best. Our shopkeeper did not eat everything, so let’s forget about your craftsmanship.”

Bei Yutang had expected this for a long time. They should have tasted the finished products before she could sell the recipes. It will be much smoother. Unfortunately, she was penniless. She could not even afford vegetables, let alone meat.

“Can you please inform your shopkeeper that this dish will not disappoint him?”

The waiter sneered, “Auntie, please don’t waste our time.”

“Man, tell your shopkeeper. If he doesn’t agree, I’ll leave.” Bei Yutang insisted.

The waiter rolled his eyes. If he really went to ask the shopkeeper, he would definitely be scolded. He is not so stupid as to offend the shopkeeper for a poor peasant woman who doesn’t know the height of the sky.

“Let’s go, let’s go, we’ll be delayed from doing business.” The waiter drove her away.

Bei Yutang had no choice but to leave.

It seems that she made a mistake and went in the wrong direction. She thought that it could be sold at a good price in the big restaurant, but now it seems a little too whimsical. Forget it, since they don’t want it, find another one.

Hongfu Restaurant is second only to Fuman Restaurant in the county.

Bei Yutang walked into the restaurant. There were only a few waiters busy in the restaurant. When he saw Bei Yutang coming in, she did not look like someone who would come to such a place with her shabby clothes.

“Auntie, do you want to eat?” Although he felt that she could not afford the food here, the waiter still asked politely.

“I don’t want to eat, I’m here to do business. I wonder if your shopkeeper is here?” Bei Yutang looked past the several waiters and toward the counter not far away.

As expected, a man emerged from behind the counter and looked at Bei Yutang in surprise.

The waiter was stunned and then asked: “Business? If you sell vegetables, I’m afraid you can’t. Our restaurant has regular farmers who deliver vegetables to our door.”

“No, I sell recipes.”

“Recipes?!” Several waiters said and looked at her with a surprised look on their faces.

The shopkeeper also came out from backstage and looked at Bei Yutang, “Do you know how the food dishes in our restaurant are? Although I dare not say it is the best in the world, it is one of the best in the entire Fengyang County. Ordinary recipes cannot be used in our restaurant.”
