TFRLTOP Chapter 91 Part 2

“What?!”

The parents looked stricken.

This kindergarten was the most prestigious private one in the city—ten thousand per term, a bargain compared to lesser ones. They’d pulled strings, spent nearly a hundred thousand in “donations” to get their son in. Graduating from here meant access to the best private elementary schools. And now—expelled? All that money, gone!

“You can’t do that! So what if you’re rich—money doesn’t mean you can boss the principal around! You can’t just expel us because you feel like it!”

Zhao Jing spoke up before Xiao Yunmu could. “Oh? You mean you didn’t know? This kindergarten is owned and funded by the Xiao Group.”

Ming Ming blinked. No wonder the teacher never dared order me sweet milk. Turns out it’s the boss’s roof over her head.

Mrs. Zhao’s face twitched. Still, she tried to bluster, “So what? You think that gives you the right to throw your weight around?”

“Oh?” Xieo Yunmu’s voice carried a faintly amused edge, as if he’d just heard a joke. “When you were bullying a child who doesn’t have a mother, weren’t you the ones throwing your weight around?”

Ming Ming suddenly sat up straight and looked at him, startled.

Noticing her gaze, Xieo Yunmu softened his expression and gave her a questioning look — What is it?

Ming Ming lowered her eyes without answering, then leaned against his shoulder again.

That strange sense of déjà vu came over her once more.

Xiaopang’s father finally spoke, his arrogance now completely gone. “You… you’re just using your power to take revenge.”

“I can tell you very clearly,” Xieo Yunmu replied, his tone cold and firm, every word landing like a hammer. “Yes, I am taking revenge.”

“And I can do it — because I can.”

With that, he turned and carried Ming Ming out of the kindergarten.

As they reached the gate, a voice called out from behind. “President Xieo, please wait!”

Xieo Yunmu turned around, polite but distant. Zhao Jing smiled and introduced himself again. Xieo Yunmu nodded in acknowledgment. “Thank you for today, President Zhao. Your son is quite the little gentleman.”

He set Ming Ming down beside him. “Go on, thank your classmate.”

Zhao Chengfei walked up with a grin, but Ming Ming hid behind Xieo Yunmu, peeking out only enough to whisper, “Thank you.”

Xieo Yunmu chuckled and ruffled her hair before turning back to Zhao Jing and his wife with an apologetic smile. “She’s a bit shy.”

The two men exchanged a few polite words, swapped contact information, and said their goodbyes.

As Xieo Yunmu led Ming Ming toward the car, he said casually, “That boy stood up for you. Why didn’t you want to get close to him?”

Ming Ming muttered under her breath, “He’s ugly.”

Xieo Yunmu paused. “…”

That was not the answer he expected.

“You shouldn’t judge people by their looks,” he said, half amused. “Didn’t your teacher tell you that’s wrong?”

Ming Ming pouted. “I already made Xiaopang cry, and I was ready to hit back when he swung at me. Then that boy jumped in, and suddenly I was nothing — he got to be the hero!”

Xieo Yunmu couldn’t help but laugh.

“Your logic is… something else.” He shook his head, smiling. “Good thing I didn’t ask the teacher to pull the security footage, or we’d still be arguing.”

Ming Ming nodded seriously in agreement.

Then he lifted her up again. “So, you think that boy’s ugly — what about your brother? Is your brother ugly too?”

Ming Ming cupped his face in her small hands, kissed his cheek, and declared, “Brother, you’re the most handsome man in the world!”

That instantly brightened his mood. That night, he was in such good spirits that he even allowed her an extra slice of cake after dinner.

Once her stomach was happy, Ming Ming decided to pursue some emotional satisfaction — namely, a cell phone.

“All the other kids in kindergarten have one. I want one too…” she said, looking up at him with wide, hopeful eyes.

Xieo Yunmu merely said he’d think about it.

The next day, he asked his secretary, “Do kids in kindergarten really have phones these days?”

The secretary — a lifelong bachelor — had no idea.

So Xieo Yunmu called Zhao Jing for advice.

“Oh, phones?” Zhao Jing laughed. “We just gave Feifei an old prepaid phone no one used anymore. But honestly, I’d recommend a smartwatch for kids — the Xiaotiancai model is really popular. It can make calls, track their location, and even add friends with a tap. Perfect for their age.”

After hanging up, Xieo Yunmu instructed his secretary to buy both the old phone and the smartwatch. Then, on a whim, he added a tablet to the list.

When he presented the three gadgets to Ming Ming as a “surprise,” her bright, expectant smile immediately froze.

“What’s this?” she asked flatly.

Is this what I asked for?

Xieo Yunmu didn’t notice her disappointment. Thinking she was just curious, he patiently explained each item and its functions in detail.

“See, this looks like a watch, but it can make calls, send messages, share your location, even chat with friends! Kids these days are really living the dream — when I was your age, we didn’t have anything like this.”

Ming Ming could only stare. Thanks, but this is NOT what I meant!

She said decisively, “I want to play with the tablet.”

That was fine — it basically did everything a phone could, and the screen was bigger.

“No problem,” he said. “But to protect your eyesight, you can only use it for two hours a day. After that, you’ll have to hand it over.”

Then, feeling extra generous, he added, “You don’t have to turn in the phone, though.”

Ming Ming: “…”

Am I supposed to thank you for that?

And thus began her daily battle of wits with her brother.

She soon discovered the smartwatch could play videos, but the tiny screen strained her eyes — no way she was risking another pair of glasses.

The tablet, though, was a different story — a double-edged sword. It opened endless possibilities… and countless opportunities to get caught.

She had to download “unspeakable” files, visit “unmentionable” websites, and wipe all traces before handing it back each night.

Because Xieo Yunmu, ever the cautious guardian, liked to “check” what she’d been watching — just in case she was learning bad habits from cartoons.

At other times, she was left with nothing but the old prepaid phone, where she played Whack-a-Mole and blackjack, beating her own high scores over and over again.

No rivals… what a lonely life. Yeah, right.

Ming Ming sighed inwardly. When did I ever suffer like this before?

Ugh… I don’t want to be the baby anymore. I just want to grow up.
