Chapter 17: The CEO’s Little Treat

◎ Tea Talk, Sweet Victory ◎

Ming Ming had been feeling rather troubled lately.

The reason was simple: despite her relentless efforts—three meals a day—her entire freezer full of Häagen-Dazs had barely been touched. Only a few minor dents and scratches here and there.

First, the weather had cooled, and she had little desire for cold treats.

Second… she was getting a bit tired of eating it.

As the old saying goes:

“One should not buy in bulk when starving.”
—Ming Dostoevsky Ming

For the past few days, she had been trying tirelessly to sell the ice cream to Chen Si, Chen Jing, King Wang, Steward Wu, and every servant, gardener, and bodyguard she could find.

But no one was buying.

Something was off.

Very off.

Taking advantage of the master’s absence, she interrogated Steward Wu mercilessly and finally got the truth out of him:

“Master instructed that this is yours. No one else is allowed to touch it.”

Ming Ming: “…”

Thanks a lot!

Apparently, the master’s affection for his little lover landed on some rather peculiar points.

Ming Ming’s eyes flicked with a new idea.

Recently, she had been selling secondhand luxury goods at school and had actually made a few sales. All the money had gone straight into her little stash.

Now, she had her sights set on the Häagen-Dazs.

Take it to school, sell it slightly below market price, and she could make a tidy little profit.

The questions were: how to get it to school, and how to ask the master for permission… she needed to plan carefully.

Her mind was so preoccupied that she was distracted all evening, which earned her a sharp scolding from Master Huo.

Ming Ming lay on Huo Xiao, panting, eyelids fluttering, drifting toward sleep, but she didn’t forget this matter before losing consciousness.

“Master, is that whole freezer of Häagen-Dazs really all mine?”

“Hm?”

Ming Ming pressed against Huo Xiao’s chest, tracing circles on it with her finger. “Does that mean I have full authority over them?”

His chest vibrated as he hummed, “Mm.”

“What would you like to do?”

Ming Ming lifted her head, sweat-damp strands clinging to her forehead. Her eyes, once dull from sleepiness, now sparkled with determination.

“I want to take it to school and share it with my classmates.”

She didn’t mention selling it.

A hint of doubt flickered in Huo Xiao’s eyes.

Ming Ming wriggled on him, whining playfully, “I really can’t eat any more. Even if I lived to the next life, I couldn’t finish this much…”

Her gaze slowly grew alarmed.

What’s happening? Again… and again…

Huo Xiao reached out, holding her steady, his voice low and hoarse as he said three words:

“You… can… eat it.”

The next day was a weekend. Most students, except local ones, either stayed on campus or went nearby.

Ming Ming woke late but got up early, leaning on her waist as she limped downstairs. She saw Steward Wu directing the staff to load the Häagen-Dazs—cylinders and freezer—onto a small truck, complete with an external generator.

“What’s going on here?”

Steward Wu pushed up his glasses with his middle finger. Ming Ming suspected he was subtly looking down on her.

“Master instructed to deliver these to your school. They’ll cooperate with you,” he said, pointing to a few bodyguards.

Ming Ming was shocked. This was too fast—she hadn’t even arranged the location or calculated prices yet.

And with bodyguards, wouldn’t taking it to sell reveal her plan?

Last night, she had barely spoken a few words with Huo Xiao before things got… hectic again. She had thought he had already forgotten about it. She hadn’t expected such efficiency.

The problem was, it was too efficient.

“No rush,” she said calmly. “Let me contact them first.”

Ming Ming moved with lightning efficiency, arranging everything before her planned departure.

Chu Yun had previously worked in the school cafeteria, so she coordinated with them. The cafeteria was accommodating and reserved a corner with an outlet.

She also contacted the school print shop to temporarily create two payment QR codes for her.

“I told the school, someone is helping me over there. You don’t need to stay—you just need to deliver the items.”

Steward Wu acknowledged this.

The cafeteria manager was helpful, reserving her a spot in the largest cafeteria, No. 5, where the most students came daily.

Once everything was set, Ming Ming took a photo and posted advertisements in the school forum, class groups, department groups, and all sorts of random groups. Soon, many students had heard the news and came rushing over.

“Häagen-Dazs, 10 yuan per scoop? That cheap?”

“No way! Only ten bucks?!”

Ming Ming smiled brightly. “Factory direct sale, campus discount promotion. No loss, no scam. Who wants a scoop?”

“Here! Here!”
