When Chu Jiyu returned, Mu Liuyin was lying in bed, fast asleep.

The person who had once left without a word and disappeared for four years was now obediently lying there, trapped in this room by her. He had no way to leave her again.

Chu Jiyu lowered her head and kissed Mu Liuyin. The moment he was woken by the kiss, he smacked her lightly on the head. She caught his wrist—the one that hadn’t dared to use much force—and smiled, her eyes curving. “Hungry?”

“No!” Mu Liuyin yanked his hand back forcefully and said coldly, “Chu Jiyu, you’ve got some nerve! Let me remind you—holding someone captive is illegal!”

Hearing the frustration in his voice, Chu Jiyu chuckled and put on an innocent face. “But, teacher, you came back with me of your own accord.”

Mu Liuyin: “…”

“Besides, I used your phone to call your family and told them you’d be on a business trip for over a month,” Chu Jiyu added with a smile.

Mu Liuyin let out a disbelieving laugh. “So you’re saying that after a month, you’ll let me go?!”

Chu Jiyu shook her head. “Ningxi, after a month… let’s get married.”

Mu Liuyin was stunned. He never expected Chu Jiyu to have marriage in mind. He looked at her with a complex expression and asked, “Do you even know what you’re saying?”

Chu Jiyu gazed at him seriously. “I do. I love you. I want to be with you for a lifetime.”

Mu Liuyin was momentarily speechless. He lowered his gaze slightly and said, “Chu Chu, you’re too young. You’re mistaking your dependence on me for love—it’s just an illusion.”

Chu Jiyu’s eyes turned red. “It’s not an illusion! I love you! Even after you abandoned me for four years, I still searched for you! Do you have any idea how I felt when I found that note you left behind?!”

Tears welled up in her eyes, spilling down her cheeks as she cried, “You were the one who barged into my life first—so why did you leave just like that?! Why did you abandon me?!”

Tears streamed down as she sobbed. “If you were always going to leave me in the end, then why did you take care of me in the first place?!”

“Why did you come into my life only to leave again? Do you know… do you know that once you came, I could never let you go?”

Chu Jiyu cried so hard that Mu Liuyin, despite cursing himself for being too softhearted, reached out to wipe her tears.

Lying back down on the bed, his head ached. He didn’t understand how things had come to this. He was the one being held captive, yet the person who had imprisoned him looked even more aggrieved than he did.

Mu Liuyin regretted everything. If he had known this would happen, he never would have agreed to live with Chu Jiyu just because he felt sorry for her. And now? The little brat had grown up, locked him up, and was even demanding marriage—all while looking pitiful and questioning why he had left.

Feeling utterly defeated, he glanced at Chu Jiyu, who was still sniffling. He had no choice but to say, “Chu Chu, I’m hungry.”

As expected, the little brat, still immersed in sorrow, immediately stopped crying upon hearing that. She gave him a pitiful look before heading to the kitchen to cook.

To be honest, despite Chu Jiyu spending four years honing her cooking skills, she had no natural talent for it. Her dishes weren’t even half as good as Mu Liuyin’s.

Mu Liuyin didn’t dare to comment, though. He was afraid she’d burst into tears again and start questioning him about why he left. Even though his departure had been for her growth, there was still some guilt lingering in his heart.

Damn it. Why did he feel sorry for her?

He ate in silence, sulking.

Chu Jiyu, seeing his reaction, knew that deep down, he still cared about her. Otherwise, why would he always soften the moment she started crying?

However, recalling the awkwardness from two nights ago, she couldn’t resist asking the doctor about it. Logically, Mu Liuyin had no developmental issues, yet… he just couldn’t get hard.

In the end, the doctor said it was likely a psychological barrier.

Thinking about this, Chu Jiyu carefully spoke up, “Teacher, do you have some kind of psychological trauma?”

Mu Liuyin frowned in confusion. “Psychological trauma? What do you mean?”

The implication was that if she wanted to, she could.

Chu Jiyu couldn’t hold back a laugh.

But out of consideration for her teacher’s pride, she only let out two chuckles before quickly shutting up.

Did she think that would cover up the fact that she had just laughed?!

At night, when they went to sleep, Chu Jiyu, as always, crawled into bed completely naked.

More than two weeks passed like this, and Mu Liuyin felt like her daily routine had become nothing but eating, sleeping, and… enduring this torture.

The hardest part was that Chu Jiyu loved sleeping naked next to her.

She was beautiful, and Mu Liuyin had taken care of her for over a year. Now, she was constantly teasing her while sleeping together every night.
