Ten minutes passed. Sweating all over, the girl snapped, “Yan Bai, what’s your problem!?”
“Is something wrong?” Yan Bai paused just as he was about to serve. He looked at Feng Guang innocently, his clear eyes filled with nothing but pure sincerity.
Feng Guang stomped her foot. “You’re cheating!”
“Miss… I’m not cheating.”
“You don’t look like someone who can even play tennis! You’re totally cheating!”
Yan Bai: “…”
Outside the tennis court, Situ You and Zeng Xue stood watching.
With a mocking tone, Situ You said, “Looks like our naive young lady doesn’t know that Yan Bai is actually the captain of the A Division tennis club.”
“Yan Bai…” Feng Guang looked at him speechlessly. “Why didn’t you tell me you’re basically the Prince of Tennis?”
Yan Bai shook his head. “I’m not a prince.”
Feng Guang was at a loss for words. She turned away. “I’m done. I can’t win anyway.”
Suddenly, a voice cut in. “Then let me have a match with Yan Bai.”
Ming An, who had walked over at some point, took the racket from Feng Guang’s hand.
Her heart skipped a beat. She tugged lightly at his sleeve and whispered, “He’s really good at tennis.”
“Don’t worry.” Ming An patted her on the head. “I’m the P.E. teacher, remember?”
Outside the court, Situ You let out a thoughtful hum.
Zeng Xue asked, “What is it?”
“The principal has been teaching our P.E. class for so long, but I’ve never seen him this fired up before.”
“Maybe he saw how good Yan Bai is and wanted to compete?”
Situ You glanced at Zeng Xue. “You transferred here, so you don’t know. This principal is also the school nurse and our P.E. teacher. If he can sit, he won’t stand. If he can lie down, he definitely won’t sit. For someone that lazy, why does he seem like a completely different person today?”
Zeng Xue had no answer.
Neither of these two, who had zero romantic experience, realized that he simply wanted to show off in front of the girl he liked and satisfy a bit of his own vanity.
Five minutes later, after constantly running back and forth to return shots that skimmed the lines, Yan Bai finally collapsed onto the grass, too exhausted to move.
Meanwhile, Ming An, on the other side, hadn’t even broken much of a sweat. He set down his racket and said earnestly, “Kid, you’ve still got a long way to go.”
He turned around and, seeing the girl staring at him with open admiration, raised an eyebrow and patted her head again. “Told you—I’m the P.E. teacher.”
Feng Guang suddenly realized that even a laid-back, almost washed-up-looking older guy could have such a manly moment!
She declared, “Boss, please accept my kneel!”
“No…” The corner of his lips curled up as he lowered his voice. “I want all of you.”
Feng Guang’s face turned red. She hurriedly glanced around and, after making sure no one was close enough to overhear, let out a relieved sigh.
The ringing bell signaled the end of P.E. class. Ming An lazily called out, “Dismissed,” and everyone headed back to the locker rooms to change and prepare for their next class.
It was already late at night.
The girls gradually finished changing and left the locker room, until only Feng Guang remained, moving at a snail’s pace. As she buttoned up her school uniform shirt, she yawned. Even though she had started drinking blood now, she still wasn’t on the same schedule as the other vampires.
With the buttons only halfway done, she leaned against her locker, thinking she would just rest her eyes for a moment. Just a moment…
Her body tilted to the side, and just as she was about to fall, a man reacted quickly and caught her around the waist.
