TSFLIP Chapter 927

The black cat let out another meow.

“Huh? You can’t?” Fengguang asked.

“Meow…” The cat took a few steps closer and gently licked her hand with the tip of its tongue.

A lazy voice suddenly came from behind her. “You can understand what Xiao Hei is saying?”

So the cat’s name was Xiao Hei.

“How could I possibly understand a cat?” Fengguang replied listlessly as she turned around and saw a long-haired man.

His black hair was long and worn loosely, tied to one side and draped over his left shoulder. A long scarf was casually wrapped around his neck despite the heat. The top button of his shirt was undone, revealing a glimpse of his refined collarbones, and over it all he wore a spotless white doctor’s coat.

He looked to be about twenty-seven or twenty-eight, and everything about him gave off an air of laziness and irreverence. He regarded Fengguang with a languid gaze. “I heard you talking to Xiao Hei.”

“Yes, I was talking to him.” Fengguang tilted her head and blinked. “But is there some rule that says if I talk to a cat, I have to understand what it’s saying?”

Her tone practically said: How could I possibly understand animals? Are you stupid?

The man thought about it for a moment, then agreed. He squatted down like she had, propping his chin on one hand, and said casually, “I’ve never seen you before. You’re a new student.”

“There are thousands of students at this school. You remember them all?”

“No.”

“Then how do you know I’m new?”

A captivating smile slowly spread across his face. “Because you carry a scent I’ve never smelled before.”

“Oh… so you recognize people by smell,” Fengguang commented calmly, then suddenly thought of something. She tipped over and sat on the ground, scooting backward several steps in a panic. “You’re a werewolf?!”

“A werewolf?” The man blinked innocently. The black cat padded over to his feet and let out a soft meow, making him look even more harmless.

“Y-you’re not a werewolf?” Fengguang stammered.

“This is a school for humans and vampires. There are no werewolves here.” Curiosity crept into his voice. “As far as I know… vampires and werewolves are natural enemies, but vampires are noble creatures. They never show fear toward werewolves.”

“That’s because you don’t know how… how… rough werewolves are,” Fengguang said, clearly recalling an unpleasant memory. Goosebumps rose on her skin as she shuddered.

The man narrowed his eyes and studied her for a moment before nodding in understanding. “So you were once obsessively pursued by a werewolf.”

“Hey—how do you know that?!”

He smiled and leaned a little closer, lifting his right index finger and pressing it lightly against her chest. “I heard your heart talking.”

Her eye twitched. She slapped his hand away. “That’s my chest!”

“Ah… sorry.” Already disheveled, he scratched his head casually, making himself look even more worn-out. “You’re so flat… I forgot that this part belongs to a girl.”

Fengguang felt she had just suffered the greatest insult of her life. She demanded loudly, “Who are you, exactly? And why do you know I was harassed by a completely ill-mannered werewolf?”

“Well…” The man smiled and finally looked a bit serious. “Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Ming An. I’m the principal of this school—and also the doctor in the infirmary. Oh, and I was classmates with your father.”
