“I had a friend place an order with another factory under his company’s name. The goods were all processed yesterday and are now in Warehouse Seven at Pier Three.” Bei Yutang said softly.
Bei Lizong stared wide-eyed at her in disbelief: “Tangtang, are you serious?”
Bei Yutang nodded.
Bei Lizong’s face immediately lit up with his usual broad smile: “That’s wonderful.”
Seeing Bei’s father finally recover, Bei Yutang’s lips also curved into a faint smile.
After his initial excitement, Bei Lizong quickly calmed down: “Tangtang, when did you prepare this?”
“After I saw your contract.” Bei Yutang replied truthfully.
“Dad, I had a feeling then that the contract was unreliable. But I had no proof, so I secretly asked my friend to order this batch of goods for me, just in case.”
“What if nothing happens? What will you do?” Bei Lizong asked.
“That’s simple, just sell this batch of goods at cost or a low price. Since someone ordered it, there’s a market for it. At worst, I’ll lose some money, or make nothing.”
Bei Lizong couldn’t help but admire his daughter’s foresight. Without her, their family would probably be bankrupt.
“Tangtang.” Bei Lizong called softly, his voice filled with so much—gratification, emotion, admiration, and pride.
“Let’s not tell Mom about this.” Bei Yutang said with a smile.
“Hmm.”
Now that the matter was resolved, there was no need to tell her, lest she overthink things.
“Dad, this time, it seems someone set a trap for us, trying to drag the Bei family into an abyss.” Bei Yutang analyzed in a low voice.
“You’re right.” Bei Lizong recounted his conversation with the boss to her.
“If that’s the case, then we need to be careful. Dad, you must keep this matter of having goods a secret. No one can know, not even the key personnel in the factory.”
Bei Lizong immediately understood her meaning.
“Furthermore, you should pretend to be anxiously searching for a processing plant, the more anxious the better, to avoid arousing suspicion.”
“I understand.” Bei Lizong understood this principle.
“Furthermore, we must collect the compensation from those three defaulting factories before delivery.”
The three factories agreed so readily; the money must have been advanced for them by someone behind the scenes. If they succeed, the money will naturally go from one pocket to another, returning to their own hands.
They won’t spend a penny, and at the same time, they can get a batch of goods from Bei Lizong for free, and also get 80 million in compensation.
This is a brilliant plan.
Unfortunately, this time, they’re destined to suffer a huge loss behind the scenes.
As long as they deliver on time, they will not only earn the profit from this batch of goods, but also get the compensation advanced by the defaulting factories through their hands, which is a good situation.
This time, they will definitely make them lose more than they gain.
Bei Lizong and Bei Yutang exchanged a knowing smile, preparing to trick them.
This is called giving someone a taste of their own medicine.
Just then, the study door was pushed open. Bei’s mother looked at the father and daughter inside.
“What are you two whispering about, hiding in the study?”
Bei Yutang stood up and put her arm around her mother’s shoulder.
“Mom, Dad and I were discussing where to go. I remember you said you wanted to go to the beach. How about we go to Pusen Island?”
