CTTT Chapter 68.3

The first group to take the stage were Hong Shiyu and Liu Zhongming. The pre-match VCR this time did not perform the bitterness scene but instead performed a family reunion scene.

Hong Shiyu’s family came to visit Hong Shiyu, had dinner together, and then left. Liu Zhongming’s part was the scene of the support of his teachers and classmates, saying that after participating in the competition, he would have to go to high school before school started, which made the audience laugh.

The first song of the two of them is Liu Zhongming’s specialty ‘Gently’, an R&B song. However, unlike the sweet songs in the first round, the songs in the second round are somewhat sad and more heartfelt.

Although Hong Shiyu is good at dance-style songs, she still had no problem cooperating with Liu Zhongming. There was nothing wrong with their performance, and there was even a little surprise.

Hong Shiyu’s voice sings quietly, but it has a lazy and casual flavor, which is very charming and unexpectedly matches Liu Zhongming’s voice. Otherwise, Liu Zhongming’s fans would not be willing to give up Jiang Ting as a partner, so they would definitely let their idol partner with Hong Shiyu.

Afterward, the instructor’s comments were mostly complimentary, and the on-site public judges’ vote totaled 420 votes.

The two of them were satisfied and hurriedly bowed in the direction of the audience to thank them. At the same time, after their performance was completed, they entered the contestant area to rest again.

Immediately afterward, the couple who appeared in the second group of the second round were Xu Ya and Xu Jiayin.

The two of them were partners in the first round of the PK competition and scored a high score of 425 points, second only to Jiang Ting and Chen Yi.

But afterward, the fate of the two of them was completely opposite. Xu Jiayin’s score never fell below the 400 vote mark; while Xu Ya never reached the 400 vote mark again, except in the finals.

Although the score does not mean anything, it also shows that Xu Jiayin has the ability to maintain the score at the upper level without relying on strong female partners; but it is difficult for Xu Ya to climb back to the top circle without relying on strong male partners.

This may not be able to identify all the strengths of a person, but it identifies whether a person has the ability to be a leader.

Xu Ya once felt that she was very unlucky and had unsuitable partners for her in several consecutive episodes. So, when she was given two partners in the final, she felt that her fortune had turned around.

In the first round, she scored 441 points with Chen Yi. What about her with Xu Jiayin? Not to mention exceeding Jiang Ting and Xu Jiayin’s scores, she must have at least 450 points, right? She is looking forward to the scores from the on-site public judges after the performance.

Soon, the pre-match VCR of the two people ended, and they took to the stage to perform.

‘Crazy’ is a very popular dance song abroad, but it is not suitable for her and Xu Jiayin. The dance music she and Xu Jiayin performed in the first round of the PK competition was Xu Jiayin’s favorite hip-pop music style, and he digested it perfectly.

But, this song is more jazzy. Xu Jiayin’s temperament doesn’t match this song. It doesn’t have the most appealing ‘desire’ of jazz, so it’s a bit bland.

Jiang Ting looked at the two people on the stage, turned her head, and looked Chen Yi up and down. She asked suspiciously.

“What’s going on? This song is not performed by you and Xu Ya? But, it’s performed by Xu Jiayin and Xu Ya?”

Chen Yi was confused and did not understand the meaning of her words, so he asked her, “What’s wrong? Did I not perform well before? The song before was very suitable for me and Xu Ya; this song is also very suitable for Xu Jiayin and Xu Ya.”

Jiang Ting: “…”

Did Chen Yi have any misunderstanding about his and Xu Jiayin’s temperament?
