No one knew how Pei Jing’s grandmother came here from the distant countryside of the city next door and found Pei Jing.

The second Pei Jing saw his grandmother, tears already welled up in his eyes. He ran toward his grandmother. He lost his usual precocious appearance and hugged his grandmother like a child. His voice was so choked that he could hardly speak.

The moment Pei Jing’s grandmother saw Pei Jing, her accent suddenly changed. Her tone was filled with joy: “Where did you go? I finally found you.”

The old woman was nagging: “Your mother called me and said that you were at the amusement park. She also told me where your school is and where you live now. How can I remember it at such an old age? Fortunately, I found it.”

Ji Zhile asked again: “Is it because Mom wants to tell us stories, so she won’t sleep with Dad?”

Pei Jing’s grandmother came to see him today. Pei Jing also had relatives. Ji Ningyi knew that children usually live with their relatives.

Si Tian said, “I don’t know either. It depends on Pei Jing’s choice.”

Ji Ningyi’s voice was a little muffled: “I see.”

“Good night, Mom.”

On the other side, Pei Jing taught his grandmother how to run water to take a bath. Pei Jing’s grandmother sighed: “It’s very convenient here.”

Pei Jing said: “Grandma, when I grow up, I will let Grandma live in a place like this.”

Pei Jing’s grandmother smiled: “Okay, Grandma is waiting for you.”

It has been a long time since Pei Jing slept with his grandmother. He remembers that when he was very young and before he was studying, he and his grandmother slept in a big bed. The weather was hot in summer and there was no fan at home, so his grandmother used the old cattail leaf fan to fan him. He fell asleep in the wind of this cattail leaf fan for many summers.
