[QTC] MBDT Chapter 1645

“Don’t worry, Madam.” Peony said gently.

Seeing that she was sensible, the madam swayed her hips and left.

As soon as the madam left and the door closed, the smile on Peony’s face vanished.

Peony looked at the two gentlemen before her. They were complete strangers, not her regular customers at all.

She was still ill, and these two had specifically asked for her, so she could roughly guess what was going on.

“Gentlemen, please forgive me. I’m afraid I’m not in the right condition to serve you. We have many gentle and attentive girls in our establishment. I can find them for you.” Peony said politely.

Bei Yutang said nothing, simply sitting down and gesturing for Zhao Erhu and Peony to sit as well.

Zhao Erhu sat down, but Peony remained standing.

Bei Yutang looked at her: “Sit down.”

Peony met her eyes and unconsciously obeyed, sitting down obediently.

“Miss Peony, I have a favor to ask. May I see your back?” Bei Yutang said directly, simultaneously pulling a silver note from her bosom and placing it on the table.

Peony’s heart skipped a beat when she saw the large denomination note. She hadn’t expected these two gentlemen to be so generous.

In all her years in the brothel, this was the first time she’d encountered such extravagant people.

Her looks weren’t outstanding, and the people who sought her out weren’t wealthy or powerful. Those kinds of VIPs were reserved for courtesans of the highest caliber; it wasn’t her turn.

Peony looked at the silver note, and her heart swayed.

Even with her poor health, she couldn’t resist the temptation of that silver note.

She obediently stood up, preparing to undress.

“Wait.” Bei Yutang suddenly said.

“Let’s go inside.”

Peony was puzzled, but she did as she was told. She got up and walked toward the inner room. Bei Yutang followed behind, while Zhao Erhu remained where he was.

Upon entering, Peony began to undress, one garment after another falling away, finally revealing a naked body covered in wounds.

Bei Yutang frowned slightly. These wounds were clearly caused by sexual abuse.

Her discomfort was probably due to excessive abuse.

Bei Yutang suppressed her surprise, her cold gaze sweeping over her back, but she didn’t see any birthmarks. She was certain that this Peony was not Coachman Zhang’s daughter, Daya.

Peony had expected her to be disgusted, or perhaps to mistreat her like her previous client. Unexpectedly, she heard a clear, cold voice.

“Put your clothes on.”

Peony couldn’t help but turn her head to look at her. She saw that the person’s eyes were clear and unreadable, cold and indifferent, neither happy nor sad.

Peony silently put on her clothes. “Is there something you’re looking for, Young Master?”

Bei Yutang smiled: “You’re asking a lot of questions.”

Peony then realized she had spoken out of turn.

When the two people came out, Zhao Erhu looked at Bei Yutang, his eyes questioning her.

Bei Yutang shook her head.

After the two of them left Peony’s room, Bei Yutang’s gaze fell on the opposite side room. She had seen Gu Qing enter that side room.

Bei Yutang said to Zhao Erhu, “You stay here and chat with Miss Peony for a while longer. I’ll call you when I go out.”

Zhao Erhu was a smart man; he immediately knew that she had personal business to attend to.

“Okay.”

Zhao Erhu turned and went back into Peony’s room, while she headed toward the opposite room.
