Ye Cheng couldn’t help but frown at these words. Then, he said, “Wipe yourself off first. I’ll go to the kitchen and boil some water for you.”

Although the electricity was out, the gas stove was still working. The water deliveryman had just delivered two unopened buckets of purified water yesterday, which should be enough for Ke’er’s bath.

Mu Yunge hummed and then heard Ye Cheng’s hurried footsteps.

Ten minutes later, Ye Cheng arrived carrying a bucket of hot water.

After knocking on the door, Ye Cheng pursed his lips and said, “Ke’er, I’m coming in.”

Mu Yunge was sitting in the bathtub and hummed at Ye Cheng’s words.

In the darkness, Ye Cheng carried the water to the bathroom, using the dim light of his phone screen.

“I’ve put the water here. If it’s not enough, I’m still boiling it in the kitchen.”

“Okay.” Mu Yunge replied, then stood up and walked toward the bathroom door.

However, she had only taken a few steps when her footing suddenly slipped.

“Ah!”

Mu Yunge frantically grabbed the sink, but her elbow inevitably banged against it, making a thud sound.

Hearing Mu Yunge’s exclamation and the crashing sound inside the bathroom, Ye Cheng quickly pushed open the door and walked in.

“Ke’er, what’s wrong? Did you fall?”

However, just as Ye Cheng pushed the door open and entered, a call came!

After his eyes flashed by the sudden light, Ye Cheng’s vision returned to normal, and he saw Mu Yunge, clutching her arm.

Mu Yunge hadn’t expected the phone call to come so unexpectedly, and her mouth opened slightly for a moment.

At this moment, Ye Cheng’s eyes darkened for a moment before he strode forward, grabbed her arm, and began to examine it.

Seeing the bruise, Ye Cheng’s heart tightened, and he asked with a look of heartache, “Does it hurt?”

Mu Yunge nodded slightly. Actually, this little pain was nothing to her.

But then, Ye Cheng suddenly reached out, snatched a towel from the shelf, and wrapped it around her. He then lifted her up and carried her to the living room.

Then, Ye Cheng pulled out the medicine box and began to rub medicated wine on Mu Yunge.

“Ke’er, be my girlfriend!”

Seeing this, Ye Cheng’s heart sank. He looked at her seriously and said, “I love you. I’ve loved you since the day you rescued me. I promise to be completely loyal to you and never let you suffer any injustice. Give me a chance, okay?”

Originally, he had planned to propose on her birthday, but he hadn’t expected something like this to happen today.

Since that was the case, he might as well confess his feelings in advance.

Whether she agreed or not, Ye Cheng would never let her go!
