Bei Yutang looked at the two quarreling parties and coughed lightly, interrupting their quarrel.

“Yutang, do you really want to go? That’s the King, and you fought so hard to save your life. If you go, your life will be…”

Bei Yutang patted her hand. 

“Gesang, I can’t watch you die. As long as there’s a glimmer of hope, I’m willing to give it a try. Believe me.”

Gesang’s eyes reddened, “You idiot.”

Everyone was concerned about when she would go. Bei Yutang decided to wait until her injuries healed before going.

That night, Feng Chi appeared again. As usual, he entered the room, lay down on the bed, reached out, and held her in his arms, pulling her to sleep. 

Seven days later, Bei Yutang’s body had almost fully recovered, though her hands were still bandaged.

The beauties from the Beauty Pavilion and the surrounding palaces emerged from their rooms and watched Bei Yutang leave, a scene as if they were watching her go to the guillotine. 

Bei Yutang headed toward the center of the palace, avoiding the guards with ease and arriving outside the High Heaven Palace.

The guards outside the High Heaven Palace drew their knives upon seeing Bei Yutang and shouted at her.

Bei Yutang bowed slightly to the two men. 

“Guards, I am from the Beauty Pavilion. I have come here today to express my gratitude to the King for his kindness.”

Speaking of the Beauty Pavilion, the guards immediately thought of the beauty in the arena who had slain four lions in a single blow, earning His Majesty a promise.

“Two guards, could you please pass on the message for me? If His Majesty will not see me, I will leave.” Bei Yutang insisted.

“My dear lady, it’s not that we don’t want to help you, but there’s no need to pass on the message. His Majesty will not see you.” The guard said bluntly.

Just then, a steady voice rang out.
