There was a strange yet familiar feeling.

Ruan Ning was confused for a moment. She felt as if she had never traveled through time before, and that world was just a dream.

Soon, she realized that it was not a dream.

Ruan Ning found her mobile phone and discovered that there was no signal.

After walking around the house, she noticed more things were off. The most striking of which was the complete silence within the community.

Not a single sound at all.

After confirming that there was no one near the community, Ruan Ning decided to go somewhere farther away to have a look. However, she didn’t have a car at the moment and her mobile phone had no signal, so she couldn’t scan the QR code for a shared bike.

There were plenty of cars on the road.

Not wanting to waste any more time, Ruan Ning returned to the supermarket’s warehouse and searched through every drawer until she finally found the keys to a truck.

This was likely the owner’s regular vehicle, so it should be parked not far away.

After walking around the open-air parking lot and pressing the door opening button, Ruan Ning found the truck after about five minutes.

“I’m so sorry, but this is a virtual world. I hope the owner understands.”

“I’ll drive it back to you later.”

After opening the car door, Ruan Ning sat in the driver’s seat and started the truck.

There was not a single car on the road.

Even in the city center, which used to be the most lively and prosperous place, it was still quiet all around. Not to mention seeing a single person, not even a dog was seen.

“It’s really a no-man’s land.”
