Bai Yaya chimed in from the side, “Xuan Xuan is right. Xiao Meng, you’re not cut out for the leading role with your wishy-washy attitude.”

“Exactly. You’re trying to please Luo Xi and then come to me? You’re not disgusted, but I’m disgusted.” Lin Xuan’s face was filled with disgust.

Leng Me’er had never been insulted like this before. If it were anyone else, she would have been furious, but these people in front of her were her relatives—people she had grown up with. How could they say such things to her?

“Stop pretending! We all know you kicked Xuan and Aunt out of the Leng family. What are you pretending for? Are you scared now that Xuan Xuan is going to marry into the Feng family and become the young madam?” Bai Yaya said dismissively.

“Scared? Whether she becomes the Feng family’s young madam has nothing to do with me. Or does Miss Bai think the Feng family will overshadow the Leng family and that I’ll have to flatter them like a lapdog when we meet?” Luo Xi gave her a half-smile.

Bai Yaya’s face quickly turned pale at that.

Was Luo Xi mocking her?

She and Xuan were supposed to be good friends. What flattery was she talking about? It was ridiculous!
