In contrast to Mu Yunge’s relaxed and carefree demeanor, the Bo Group was currently in dire straits.

After returning to the Bo building, Bo Qing did everything he could to suppress the online news, even paying a high price to hire hackers to delete the posts.

But to his shock and horror, the hackers he often collaborated with told him that the URLs of the posts with Mu Yunge’s edits could not be deleted!

“Sorry, that hacker’s skills are far superior to mine. You should find someone else!”

Bo Qing’s hackers all said so.

For a moment, Bo Qing’s face turned livid with anger.

With a loud ‘bang’, he grabbed the cup at hand and smashed it against the wall.

Seeing Bo Qing’s loss of composure, his secretary immediately lowered his head in fear, not daring to look at him.

After venting his anger, Bo Qing suddenly sneered, “Want to clear Jiang Hao’s name? You can post, and so can I!”

After that, Bo Qing looked at his secretary coldly and said, “Call the PR manager in!”

Hearing this, the secretary immediately acted as if he had been pardoned and scurried out of the CEO’s office.

Soon after, the PR manager entered Bo Qing’s office.

At one o’clock that morning, a news story implying that the previous post was a frame-up hit the headlines.

The new post listed the numerous loopholes in Mu Yunge’s post and concluded by threatening to hold the rumormongers responsible for fueling the flames legally responsible.

For a moment, netizens were in an uproar.

Whose post was the truth?

While the onlookers were bewildered, Mu Yunge simply sneered at the post, but took no further action.

It wasn’t that she didn’t want to continue her confrontation with Bo Qing, but rather that the timing wasn’t right.

As the male and female leads of this world, the laws of nature always favored them. Although Bo Qing and Qin Lan would always encounter various difficulties, even in a car accident, they would only suffer a bloody head injury and amnesia, not life-threatening danger.

In the original plot, Bo Qing also faced a major crisis similar to this one, but instead of going bankrupt, the Bo Group used that crisis to further clean up its internal structure. A few years later, the Bo Group grew into one of the world’s top 50 companies.

So, even if she continued to confront Bo Qing this time, he would eventually rise again.

But it didn’t matter.

As long as the male and female leads survived, she could linger in this world as long as she wanted. So, she had plenty of time to play with them!

Besides, her purpose in making a big fuss by posting the message was not to bring down the Bo Group, but to make the whole nation pay attention to Jiang Hao’s case and use the Internet to put pressure on the procuratorate to thoroughly investigate Jiang Hao’s case.

Now that her goal had been achieved, there was no need for her to continue.

As Mu Yunge had predicted, the next day, due to the sheer scale of Jiang Hao’s case, a large number of reporters gathered outside the Municipal Procuratorate early in the morning.

Because the situation was somewhat out of control, a few days later, the higher-ups had to send a special investigation team to re-investigate Jiang Hao’s case.

With the whole nation paying attention to Jiang Hao’s case, the procuratorate and the investigation team did not dare to be careless. They even dug up Jiang Hao’s situation when he was in college.

However, the more Jiang Hao’s story was dug up, the more people would turn to his side!

He persuaded middle school students who had started a fight, helped a quarreling couple to reconcile, helped workers who had been cheated to get their hard-earned money back, donated supplies to impoverished communities every year, and donated all usable organs after death…

He is clearly a good person, how can he be called a corrupt official!?

Translator’s Comment:

I am not quite sure what the last deed ‘donated all usable organs after death’ means.

He is not dead yet, so this refers to someone else, for certain.

There is a character ‘可’ in raw text, which has a meaning: (prefix) can; may; able to; -able / to approve; to permit / to suit / (particle used for emphasis) certainly; very / but; however.

So, maybe, he permits people to donate organs after they die. And since this is a good deed, maybe the dead person is someone who has no relatives. Because, as far as I know, to donate organs, there should be some procedure and approval from close relatives, like parents.

But this is just my assumption.

Please give your idea for this matter in the comment area~~

  1. ion says:

It could mean that he registered to donate organs after death, but interestingly, China has issues with “forced organ donation” (this is a topic in the US too, though more hidden) where the bodies of the dead have their organs forcibly taken. So it could mean the inverse, where he protected the rights of the deceased.

    1. Librarycat says:

I don’t get that. In Sweden unless someone opts out, everyone is presumed to be an organ donor.
