“Enlin and Shan Shi were besieged by the people of the Canglang tribe. Now they are dying. I’m afraid they won’t make it.” The half-beast said anxiously.
“I’ll go and take a look.”
Yan Meng also put down the meat in his hand and followed them to where Enlin and Shan Shi lived.
On the way, Bei Yutang asked the half-beast, “Has the wizard gone?”
“Xiongda went to invite the wizard. I think she should come with us.”
Coming together, that would be interesting.
The last incident made the half-beasts of the tribe recognize her identity as a wizard.
This time, they can know who the real powerful ‘wizard’ is.
When Bei Yutang and her group arrived, the old wizard also just arrived. When the old wizard saw Bei Yutang, her cloudy eyes stared at her coldly, as if she was stared at by a poisonous snake.
The leader of the Sanshi Tribe immediately came forward when he saw the two of them coming.
“Two wizards, this time the matter of Enlin and Shan Shi will be handed to you.”
The old wizard still maintained her usual style and nodded coldly.
Bei Yutang nodded slightly, “Let’s take a look at the situation of the two first.”
“Okay.”
The leader of the Sanshi Tribe walked in front and took the lead. Then, the old wizard took the lead and walked in front, as if only by walking in front could she show that her status was higher than hers.
Bei Yutang looked at the old wizard walking in front and didn’t care.
After entering the house, she saw two people lying on the bed, their faces were bloodless, and their bodies were covered with wounds, some caused by sharp claws, and some caused by external objects.
The situation of the two people was very miserable. With such injuries, it was difficult to survive in this backward primitive tribe.
The half-beasts have very strong physical fitness. Even if they are strong, they will still die without proper treatment.
Why has the half-beast population not been able to increase?
First of all, it is the harsh conditions, coupled with the high mortality rate of newborn cubs, the troubles of wild beasts, and the conflicts between tribes, which are all factors that prevent the half-beast population from increasing.
The old wizard walked up to the two people and carefully looked at their wounds. Enlin’s wound was obviously more serious than Shan Shi’s. Among the two people, Shan Shi had a higher chance of surviving than Enlin.
The old wizard turned to the leader and said, “Wizard Bei and I will each pray. I will take care of Shan Shi, and Enlin will be in Bei’s care.”
The leader couldn’t help but look at Bei Yutang and ask for her opinion.
She said, “I think we should ask them who they want to choose to pray for them. Only with full trust can my prayers be conveyed to the gods. If there is distrust or dissatisfaction in the heart, it cannot be done.”
Enlin and Shan Shi were not unconscious, so they naturally heard her words.
The leader felt that what Bei Yutang said made sense. He looked at the two of them, “You choose who will pray for you.”
Shan Shi said first, “Old wizard.”
Enlin looked at Bei Yutang, “Bei.”
The leader couldn’t help but breathe a sigh of relief. Fortunately, they each chose one. If they both chose the same person at the same time, they would offend the other person.
At the request of the old wizard, Enlin was moved to the wooden house next door.
Bei Yutang did not object.
Everyone in the tribe was waiting outside the two wooden houses, waiting for the result.
This time, the old witch used all her life’s knowledge to treat Shan Shi and used all the methods she knew on him.
The war between her and Bei Yutang was a war without gunpowder.
