Dark Star.

A filthy, dirt-covered teenager opened her eyes and looked at the glowing blue transparent mission interface in front of her. She tapped it and selected “Access World Plot.”

The moment Mu Liuyin finished absorbing the storyline, she cursed out loud, “Holy sh*t!” She immediately instructed Xiao Jiu to locate the mission target, then took off running in that direction.

Fortunately, the target wasn’t too far from where she currently was. After about ten minutes of running, Mu Liuyin found the target unconscious and severely injured next to a pile of garbage.

“Xiao Jiu, calculate a safe route and avoid people.”
she muttered as she hoisted the unconscious target onto her back. She didn’t want anyone to discover them, so she relied on Xiao Jiu to chart a path with zero encounters.

Twenty-some minutes later, she finally half-carried, half-dragged the target back to her rundown little shack.

Not long after she left, people appeared near the garbage pile where she’d found the target.

Mu Liuyin dropped the person onto her bed, then collapsed on top of them from exhaustion—only to immediately get up again, worried she might’ve aggravated their wounds. She asked Xiao Jiu for a bottle of high-grade healing potion and carefully fed it to the target.

After tending to them, Mu Liuyin slumped to the floor against the wall, panting as she complained,

“Why are they so heavy?”

Xiao Jiu answered timidly,

[It’s not that the target’s heavy… it’s that you, Host, are too weak.]

Mu Liuyin’s face darkened. She summoned the mission panel to finally review the objectives for this world.

She scrolled down and paused at the newly added side mission.

[Is the side mission mandatory?] she asked Xiao Jiu.

[Nope! But completing side missions accelerates overall mission progress. So, Host, you might get to return to your original world sooner if you do it~]

That was all the motivation she needed. Mu Liuyin decided—she was in.

But first, she had to deal with a more pressing issue: her body’s gender.

According to the storyline, this world was part of an interstellar empire where the gender system was… well, frustrating. There were three designations: Alpha, Beta, and Omega.

Unsurprisingly, Alphas stood at the top of society. Betas were the most numerous. And Omegas—extremely rare and highly protected.

Her original body? A still-underage male Omega.

[Xiao Jiu, is there a way to hide this body’s gender?]
Mu Liuyin thought for a moment and added,

Because Omegas were so rare, Imperial law prohibited them from removing their glands—doing so came with harsh penalties. Not that she could afford the surgery anyway. And to complete the side mission? There was no way she could do it as an Omega.

Xiao Jiu puffed up with pride.

Mu Liuyin’s eyes lit up.

[Can you do it now?]

[Absolutely! It won’t take long at all!] Xiao Jiu said cheerfully.

As soon as Xiao Jiu finished speaking, waves of pale blue data began to ripple over Mu Liuyin’s body like flowing water, gradually fading into nothing.

This was the first time she’d ever thought Xiao Jiu was useful.

With her body’s stats now upgraded, Mu Liuyin felt power coursing through her for the first time. She got up and checked on the still-unconscious mission target.

The girl’s injuries were incredibly severe—half her face was stained red with blood from a head wound, and her body was covered in slashes. The bones in her right arm were visible through a torn-open gash. Thanks to the high-grade recovery serum Mu Liuyin had given her, her wounds were now slowly beginning to heal.

But by the time the effects of that first serum wore off, she hadn’t even recovered halfway. Mu Liuyin had no choice but to ask Xiao Jiu for a few more bottles. She fed them to the girl one by one and even applied some of the medicine directly to the wounds.

She had no idea where Xiao Jiu kept getting all these potions.

Once she finished treating the injuries, she carefully shifted the girl deeper into the bed, then laid down beside her.

Closing her eyes, Mu Liuyin began mentally reviewing the world’s plotline.

The mission target, Si Yibing, was an Alpha—the Crown Princess of the Galactic Empire and first in line for the throne. Her stats were off the charts: 3S spiritual power, 3S physical constitution, and dual powers of spatial and ice abilities.

At this point in the timeline, the galaxy was in the middle of a war. The Crown Princess had taken command of the Starflare Legion and led them to the Hanhai Star to fend off a Zerg invasion. In the final battle, she took down the Zerg Empress in a mutual death strike.
