The system felt that it was normal for her to have such a reaction now that her long-cherished wish had been fulfilled. It also thoughtfully refrained from disturbing Nan Yu.
In fact, Nan Yu was reminiscing about everything that had happened to her along the way.
As her soul strength increased, her memory also improved. If she really wanted to recall something, she could even clearly remember some things from the second world.
Having lived through so many worlds, Nan Yu had met good people, been betrayed by her partners, and experienced several unforgettable romances. It could be said that she had experienced almost everything that was imaginable.
She asked herself if she had any regrets.
And it seemed she truly had none.
Some things, once gone, are truly gone; she had no desire to relive them.
Nan Yu’s only obsession had vanished; what else in this world was worth clinging to?
“System, haven’t you gotten bored living this long?”
The system asked, puzzled, “What is boredom?”
It’s like a human, yet ultimately lacks the emotions many humans possess.
“Are you bored?”
Nan Yu didn’t answer the question. Her gaze shifted, and the scene of that world reappeared before her eyes.
At her stage, whether or not to complete tasks was entirely up to her; the mysterious figure no longer pressured her, granting Nan Yu complete freedom.
So Nan Yu sat on that sofa and kept watching.
Watching Nan Yu and Fei Yizheng slowly grow old in the scene, watching Fei Yizheng smile and close his eyes in Nan Yu’s arms.
Finally, seeing Fei Yunjin peacefully send Nan Yu off, this world reached a new ending.
“Actually, I never thought about immortality.”
Nan Yu smiled again, this time a smile even brighter than before.
“The reason why life is so wonderful is probably that time is limited.”
The system had a bad feeling: “Hey! What do you mean? What are you trying to do?”
“Isn’t immortality good? You can go wherever you want in the three thousand worlds!”
“You can do whatever you want!”
“And you’ve worked so hard to finally get to this point. As long as…”
“As long as what?” Nan Yu stood up and looked at the starry sky above.
“As long as I agree to join you, I can do whatever I want?”
“Isn’t it good to do whatever you want?” The next second, the mysterious person’s voice appeared in the space.
He had indeed been watching her all along.
Nan Yu wasn’t surprised. She simply chatted calmly with the mysterious person, like a friend: “If it’s really that good, why did you create this organization?”
“Long periods of time are too boring; you need new toys, right?”
The mysterious man didn’t refute her; he confirmed Nan Yu’s guess: “You can go from being a toy to becoming the rule-maker. If you want, you can even destroy a world.”
“Like that world just now, once you become our partner, the rules can no longer bind you. You don’t need anyone else’s help; you can do whatever you want. Isn’t that good?”
The voice was still full of allure, just like when it made her a tasker, always hitting the nail on the head.
Nan Yu shook her head: “Although I don’t know your name, I’m very grateful for this opportunity you’ve given me.”
“Unfortunately, I’m human.”
“Not a god.”
“I don’t want immortality, nor do I want to destroy the world.”
Suddenly, tiny, firefly-like lights appeared all around Nan Yu, making her look incredibly beautiful.
The mysterious man’s voice grew increasingly impatient: “You’ve worked so hard for so long! Don’t you feel any remorse? Don’t you like those men? I can make them all come and keep you company!”
“And anything else, you can ask for anything!”
They had waited so long, so very long, finally finding someone with a chance to become their partner. How could they fail at this final step!
Hearing these words, Nan Yu didn’t stop her actions. She knew that the mysterious man couldn’t stop her at this moment.
So, in her final moments, Nan Yu uttered her most earnest refusal.
“No need, thank you.”
Snap—
Her soul completely dissipated, and countless fireflies danced in the sky before slowly fading away.
Nan Yu’s last remaining expression was a sincere smile; she was genuinely happy with her death.
Seconds later, the space that held countless treasures began to crumble.
There was no tasker in this world with the number 45132.
Nan Yu, dead.

Translator’s Comment:
The story ends here.
I am really touched by how ‘Nan Yu’ grew up from a spoiled young lady to a responsible woman.
Even though she met so many wonderful people who loved her and went to many different worlds, she still remembered her first family, took responsibility for what she did, and never gave up halfway.
Even when she had reached her goals, she wasn’t tempted by the alluring suggestion from the mysterious man.
She really just wanted to repay her debt, just wanted to fulfill her obsession.
If her story of transmigrating to other worlds becomes another series, I think it will be interesting.
And I really this two Nan Yus.
Without ‘Nan Yu’, Nan Yu will not be still alive after died in apocalypse.
Without Nan Yu, ‘Nan Yu”s obsession will not be vanished.
These two Nan Yus work together to achieve their own purpose.
As for our MC Nan Yu, although it is a pity that she did not marry Fei Yizheng, I think their ending is still sweet, as they were still together till the end.
What do you think about this story ending, guys?

Thankyou for the hardwork! Enjoyed the time ❤️
I’m both shocked and fond of how the novel ended, or rather, how (the original) Nan Yu changed. She was framed as such an evil person, but even someone like her still had fondness for her family, beyond just how well they treated her (as it was said, other families treated her better), but true affection. Given her maturity meeting the new Nan Yu later, she understands what she did was wrong. I can’t say I don’t understand why she chose to end it all, rather, it feels like the ‘right’ ending, because she probably can’t entirely forgive herself for what transpired in her first life.
By the way, thanks for translating to completion!! I meant to say that but was kind of shocked into a sort of thoughtful state because of the ending.
