With Chi Rong being such a large dragon swimming away in the sea, Feng Yuan wasn’t too worried.
He stretched out his chubby little hand and patted the fish’s head.
“Where do the merfolk you mentioned live? Take me to see them.”
Feng Yuan wanted to visit the merfolk’s dwelling.
The fish whose head he patted, upon hearing his words, hurriedly swam in a certain direction.
They usually spotted merfolk in the westernmost area.
Although the merfolk had never invited them into their homes, the fish had privately discussed it and believed the merfolk’s nests must be in the west.
“They’re not there now.”
The lead fish swam while explaining, “They used to be there, but not anymore.”
As of today, not a single merfolk could be seen living in the west.
The fish swam swiftly.
At first, Feng Yuan paddled with his chubby little legs to keep up. But after a while, he grew too tired and casually picked a large fish to serve as his mount.
“Boss, can you help us find the merfolk?”
Along the way to the west, a fish asked nervously.
With no merfolk left in the sea, the pollution was getting worse.
Many of their kin had already died.
Some others, affected by the pollution, were growing increasingly deformed.
The fish lived in constant fear in the sea.

Since starting middle class in kindergarten, he had become very mature.
When watching cartoons, aside from Ka Tu Tu, he no longer watched any other childish shows.

He patted the big fish, signaling it to take him to pick up the pearl.
The pearl seemed to carry a faint scent of Uncle Chi Rong.
Not long after picking up that pearl, he found another.
After gathering several pearls in a row, Feng Yuan discovered a scale.
To be precise, it was a dragon scale, one belonging to Chi Rong.
Upon seeing this scale, Feng Yuan’s chubby face instantly tightened.
He sensed something was wrong.
“Che Che, quick, go deliver a message to the adults at my home.”
“Bring them into the sea!”
“Tell them Uncle Chi Rong is in trouble.”
After instructing a large fish he’d named Che Che, Feng Yuan immediately swam forward.
Under normal circumstances, dragon scales were extremely sturdy.
It was impossible for Chi Rong to lose a scale.
The scale Feng Yuan had picked up was from Chi Rong’s inner layer.
Scales in that location would only fall off under special and violent circumstances.
And this area was where the merfolk used to appear.
Feng Yuan caught the scent of danger.
Upon detecting the threat, he didn’t turn back but charged forward courageously.
“Uncle Chi Rong!”
Feng Yuan clenched his plump little fist, his chubby face resolute as he surged ahead. “Yuan Yuan is coming to save you!”
“Second Eggy, Third Eggy, wait for your big brother!”
Feng Yuan thought of Uncle Chi Rong, who was losing scales, and then of the eggs inside Uncle Chi Rong’s belly. Instantly, his entire body was filled with courage.
The brave little chubby Yuan began tracking Uncle Chi Rong’s trail, while the big fish he had sent to call for help swam tirelessly at full speed.
The big fish swam for a long time, its tail growing numb from the effort, before it finally reached the seaside.
When it arrived, the adult it was looking for wasn’t there.
By the shore, there was only a little dark-skinned kid who loved to hit fish, and a fair, tender little child wearing a small flower hat and carrying a yellow bucket.
The fair-skinned little one held the bucket in one hand and a small shovel in the other.
He seemed to be beachcombing.
“Eggy, don’t run off, okay? We’ll go home once we fill the bucket.”
The one wearing the small flower hat was Rong Rong. Dressed in overalls, he crouched on the sandy beach near the water, digging away with his little shovel.
Eggy, who had come with him, kept looking around and clearly wasn’t a well-behaved child.
Though Eggy wanted to wander off, he restrained himself after hearing Rong Rong’s words.
He obediently sat down beside Rong Rong.
Rong Rong handed the pretty shells he had dug up to Eggy first.
Eggy admired the shells for a while, then put them in his pocket.
He appeared to be playing with Rong Rong, but he also caught a glimpse of the sneaky big fish not far away out of the corner of his eye.
“Fishy.”
Eggy pointed his chubby little hand toward the sea and uttered two words.
Rong Rong looked up at the sea. “There are lots of fish in the sea, Eggy. We’re not here to catch fish. We’re digging for things.”
Rong Rong had a lot to say to Eggy, too.
He took out another small shovel from the bucket and tried to hand it to Eggy.
But Eggy didn’t take it.
He got up from the sand and wobbled toward the big fish.
Seeing him leave, Rong Rong had no choice but to follow.
“Eggy, slow down.”
Rong Rong called out from behind, “We haven’t put on our bracelets yet.”
They had come straight from the dining table, so the bracelets left in their room hadn’t been put on yet.
Eggy slowed his pace a little.
He walked up to the big fish, which was peeking and craning its neck.
Just as he clenched his fists, ready to punch the big fish a couple of times, the fish spoke first.
“Boss, danger… dragon, lost.”
Feng Yuan could understand the big fish’s words. Eggy, being a dragon, could understand some of it, too.
Rong Rong understood even less.
After the big fish repeated itself several times, Rong Rong finally grasped its meaning.
“Eggy, find adults.”
Rong Rong reached out his little hand, wanting to pull Eggy back to find the adults.
But Eggy looked at his small hand, his little bun-like face showing a hint of reluctance for a few seconds, then dodged it.
“Gogo.”
Eggy uttered two more words.
After avoiding Rong Rong’s hand, he couldn’t help but step forward again.
He grabbed Rong Rong’s outstretched hand, put it in his mouth, and gave it a little bite. Then, resolutely, he jumped into the sea.
His “bite” was actually a kiss.
Rong Rong didn’t feel any pain from the bite.
He was just a bit anxious.
He couldn’t jump into the sea like Eggy whenever he wanted.
He was a little fox and would drown in the water.
Watching Eggy disappear into the sea, Rong Rong didn’t even care about his yellow bucket anymore.
Clutching his small shovel in his other hand, he ran toward where the adults were.
Rong Rong ran as fast as he could until he reached the adults.
The adults were no longer eating. They were chatting leisurely.
This vacation was a very relaxing and enjoyable time for them as well.

The little ones could play happily without adults watching over them.
When they got tired of playing on land, the little ones could also go into the water to play.

The adults were on their way.
Meanwhile, in the sea, Feng Yuan was facing a massive monster.
This monster was terrifying in appearance.
Its body was covered with various marine carcasses, making it look like a form composed of countless remains.
Such a form shouldn’t have been alive.
Yet, its eyes could move.
Many of the eyes on its body—belonging to various corpses—were open, their gazes murky and unclear.
These eyes were fixed directly on Feng Yuan.
Feng Yuan wasn’t focused on the eyes. He immediately noticed several red scales attached to the monster’s body.
They were Uncle Chi Rong’s scales.
“You big monster!”
Feng Yuan’s childish voice was filled with rage: “Where did you take my Uncle Chi Rong?!”
Feng Yuan’s angry questioning received no response.
The enormous monster didn’t speak to Feng Yuan at all.
It took a step forward. As it moved, a pus-like liquid dripped from its body.
It was rather disgusting.
And the most disgusting part was that it tried to touch Feng Yuan.
Feng Yuan transformed into a battle-ready little chick, fearlessly charging forward.
But as he did, Feng Yuan realized something terrifying—
This monster was poisonous!
If he came into contact with the liquid on its body, his movements would slow down, and his head would feel a bit dizzy.
The monster opened its mouth, which was like a black hole.
It wanted to swallow Feng Yuan.
Feng Yuan was caught in its mouth. Once inside, his chubby little hands gripped the monster’s teeth while his plump body teetered precariously.
The monster’s mouth wasn’t just like a black hole—
It was, in fact, a passageway.
Feng Yuan had a feeling that if he fell in, he would end up somewhere else.
Feng Yuan didn’t want to fall in.
But then he saw two eggs, hanging closely together behind the monster’s teeth.
With just one glance, Feng Yuan knew—
These were Second Eggy and Third Eggy!
Without another thought, Feng Yuan shifted from one tooth to another.
He struggled to pick up the two eggs and hold them tightly.
Both eggs were small, but so was Feng Yuan’s own little body.
Holding them like this was a bit of a struggle.
Just as he was about to give up, the sound of Eggy came from outside.
Feng Yuan’s eyes lit up as if he had seen hope.
“Eggy!”
Feng Yuan called out to Eggy and, with all his might, threw the two eggs in his hands outward.
His throwing motion involved clamping the monster’s teeth together with his chubby little legs and then using both hands to hurl the eggs out.
He threw with such force that his small body lost its balance.
The next second, the eggs flew out, and he slid into the passage inside the monster’s mouth.
Just before disappearing, Feng Yuan’s tiny, milky voice nearly cracked as he shouted:
“Eggy, take Second Eggy and Third Eggy and run!!!”
