TSFLIP Chapter 393

“The sword tassel you gave me… it was on the Han Yuan Sword. But now, the Han Yuan Sword is no longer by my side.”

Given how ruthless Yi Mu’s sneak attack had been, Fang Yue should have died on the spot. It was only because of the defensive properties of the sword tassel Feng Guang had gifted him that he managed to survive.

Thinking of the master who had raised him…

Fang Yue wasn’t sure what to feel.

Feng Guang nuzzled against his neck like a cat, letting out a soft murmur. “It’s okay… I’ll just make you another one.”

“That was something you gave me…”

“If you feel bad about losing it, then why don’t you give yourself to me instead?”

A glimmer of light flashed through his dark, night-like eyes. “Alright. I’ll give myself to you.”

“Mmm…” she mumbled sleepily, “I still need to figure out how to get rid of that so-called destined marriage of mine…”

“I—” He started to speak, but the steady, peaceful rhythm of her breathing interrupted him. Not wanting to disturb her rest, he swallowed back the words he had yet to say.

For some reason, despite his severe injuries, he felt no sleepiness at all. An irrational fear gnawed at him—what if he fell asleep, and when he woke up, she was gone?

That fear tormented him through most of the night. Only when dawn approached, his body exhausted from his wounds and his senses lulled by the sweet scent of the girl beside him, did he finally drift into slumber.

The moment sunlight streamed through the window, the person on the bed instinctively opened his eyes.

His first reaction was to realize that the spot beside him was empty.

A sharp wave of panic surged through him. He moved abruptly, only for pain to tear through his wounds. But he didn’t seem to feel it at all, attempting to sit up—

Until a startled voice rang out from the doorway.

“Fang Yue, what do you think you’re doing?!”

Feng Guang rushed in, quickly setting the bowl of medicine she was carrying onto the table before pressing him back onto the bed.

“You’re still injured! You are not allowed to get up!”

Before her voice had even fully landed, a strong hand caught her wrist, pulling her straight into his firm, muscular chest.

“Your wounds—!”

Fang Yue held her tightly, refusing to let go. Suppressing the overwhelming panic in his heart, he murmured, “I thought… I thought you had left again.”

Feng Guang’s heart softened in an instant. She carefully adjusted herself so she wouldn’t put pressure on his injuries and sighed.

“See? I’m still here.”

“Feng Guang, promise me… don’t let me wake up without you by my side.”

She was caught off guard by his words. “Alright… I promise.”

She hadn’t expected that simply leaving to make a bowl of medicine would cause such an intense reaction from him.

Fang Yue finally heard her promise, yet he still refused to let her go.

After a while, Feng Guang suddenly caught the faint scent of blood. Her gaze dropped to his clothing—crimson was seeping through the fabric.

“Fang Yue! Your wound has reopened!”

He remained indifferent. “It’s nothing.”

“Nothing?!” Feng Guang struggled out of his embrace. “Fine, you don’t care about your own body, but do you think the medicine I worked so hard to make is for you to waste like this?! You better stay put while I go get a doctor!”

With a fierce glare, she turned and dashed out the door.

Moments later, she stormed back in, dragging an elderly man behind her.

“Slow down, slow down! You’re going to tear my old bones apart!” the doctor protested.

“His wound reopened! Hurry up and take a look!” Feng Guang demanded.
