[QTC] MBDT Chapter 948

“What brand is it for?”

“Main Milk Powder.” Huang Xiao said.

“Reject it.” Bei Yutang refused without even thinking about it.

Huang Xiao was immediately anxious, “Your endorsement fee is 5 million.”

“I won’t accept any food endorsement.”

The endorsements that Sister Yu previously gave her were rarely food-related. Mainly in recent years, food safety issues have frequently emerged.

Although this has nothing to do with celebrities, if you are unlucky and endorse this brand, the public will not care whether it has anything to do with you. Then you will be drowned by people’s spit.

“Have you forgotten? The toxic milk powder incident two years ago?”

Huang Xiao just felt that she was making a fuss, “That is a thing of the past. The milk powder now is very safe. There is nothing to worry about.”

“Better safe than sorry.”

Huang Xiao saw that she was not interested and did not listen at all, so he was very annoyed, “That is a five million endorsement fee.”

“Even if you give me fifty million, I will not accept it.” Bei Yutang was firm in her attitude.

Huang Xiao saw her firm attitude and responded helplessly: “Okay, I’ll push it off. Don’t regret it later. I worked so hard to get this from Allen and the others.”

Bei Yutang ignored him and concentrated on reading the scripts.

Huang Xiao saw this and understood what she meant.

He wanted to question her about Orbis, but he didn’t expect to lose a considerable amount of endorsement fees.

Huang Xiao went to the balcony to make a phone call for a while and came back with a gloomy face. It happened that Bei Yutang had roughly reviewed the scripts.

“Are these the only scripts you have?” Bei Yutang seemed not to see his stinky face and asked in a flat tone.

“Yes. These are all we have at the moment. Which one do you like?”

Huang Xiao sat opposite her, took out two scripts, and placed them in front of her. “I think these two are good.”

Bei Yutang’s eyes swept across the scripts in his hands. One was “Love of the Stars” and the other was “Green Lovers”. Just by hearing the names of these two dramas, you could tell that they were idol dramas of the same nature.

The heroines were all silly and sweet characters, without any novelty, no challenge, and no plasticity. The plot was vulgar and the production was third-rate.

Even a third-rate star wouldn’t take such a script, let alone Bei Yutang’s current status, which would simply be a loss of face.

In the previous life, he arranged everything for the original owner Bei Yutang. When she saw the script later, it was too late to change it.

“Is this the script you picked for me?” Bei Yutang looked at him with a sneer on her face.

Huang Xiao saw that her face was not right, so he immediately changed two scripts, “You don’t like those two scripts, so how about these two? These two scripts are big productions, and the director wants you to play the leading female role. The heroines of these two dramas are very likable.”

“This kind of idiotic role is also called likable?” Bei Yutang looked at him with a stupid look.

Huang Xiao felt embarrassed when he was stared at by her.

“Brother Huang, I now seriously doubt your ability to choose scripts. Don’t bring me scripts like this next time.” Bei Yutang said mercilessly.

Huang Xiao was so angry that his heart, liver, spleen, lungs, and kidneys were all aching, but he didn’t dare to get angry with her.

In order to prevent him from accepting any messy scripts privately, Bei Yutang reminded him again, “Next time you accept any script, let me review it first.”

He used to think that she was easy to fool, but now it seems that she is not easy to fool at all. She is actually difficult to please and shrewd.

“Okay, I get it.”

“The same applies to endorsements.” Bei Yutang added.

“Yes.” Huang Xiao replied weakly.
