IACF [QT] Chapter 33.1

After returning from the supermarket, Su Yi woke up the younger one, carried a bunch of things, and went into the kitchen to prepare dinner.

Su Li’an got up in a daze, sat on the sofa, and rubbed his eyes. 

Suddenly, he remembered something. He was so excited that he jumped off the sofa with a plop, ran to the kitchen door, opened the glass door, and looked in.

After making sure that Su Yi really didn’t leave, he walked back, held up his short hands, folded the quilt into neat little squares, took it back to the room, and put it on the bedside. Then, he walked to the bathroom, stood on tiptoe with a small stool, and washed his face.

After doing all this, he stroked the wrinkled corners of his clothes, climbed onto a chair in the dining room, and sat there upright, waiting for the meal to be served.

Dinner was very simple. Su Yi made tomato and egg noodles and fried a plate of small meatballs as a snack. She took most of it for herself and only gave Su Li’an three.

Su Li’an ate a bowl of noodles cleanly. After eating, he forked the meatballs with a small fork and glanced at her while eating.

Su Yi moved the plate toward herself and said with a serious face: “Children should not eat too much, be careful of indigestion.”

The little guy lowered his head and ate his own food obediently.

Seeing that he did not argue or make a fuss, pursed his lips seriously, pinched the edge of the plate with one hand, forked the three pitiful little meatballs in the plate with the other hand, and then looked at the plate piled up in front of her, Su Yi’s conscience felt a little guilty.

She gritted her teeth and reluctantly gave two more, “Here, I’ll give you two more. There will be no more after you finish eating.”

The two golden meatballs rolled into the small plate with cartoon patterns.

Su Yi suddenly discovered that her cheap son actually had dimples, and his fierce bun face looked like a jelly bean when he smiled.

It seemed that there was no need to worry that he would not be able to deceive little girls when he grew up.

After dinner, washing dishes was really an annoying problem. Fortunately, there was a large dishwasher in the kitchen. She just threw the pots and pans into it, and it was done.

It was still early before bedtime, so Su Yi was going to sort out the items at home that could be exchanged for money. 

After all, it was a major matter that affected whether she and her son would be hungry in the future.

This apartment should not have been occupied before. Although the furniture was complete and all brand new, there were no signs of use. 

Su Yi opened the wardrobe and found only a few clothes hanging inside, and two or three bags were randomly placed, but they all looked like big brands.

She also opened the suitcase that she had dragged around at noon. It was quite full inside. In addition to a few clothes, there was also a platinum bag with a jewelry box underneath. 

When she opened it, she nodded with satisfaction.

She waved to the child who was sitting obediently watching TV. When the person came to her side, she hugged the little body, pointed to the jewelry box, and said to him: “See, son, your wife is here.”

Su Li’an had a blank face and didn’t know whether he knew what the word ‘wife’ meant.

The things that the original owner put in the suitcase were all easy to get. If she sold them all, it would be enough for her to splurge for a while. 

But she had to be patient and wait slowly. Otherwise, if she was in a hurry to sell them, she would definitely be forced to lower the price.

Su Yi was not in a hurry. She didn’t like to suffer losses. 

She would contact the auction house when she needed money in the future. Now, she planned to sell the bags that the original owner had abandoned in the closet first.

Those bags were all basic models from big brands, at least 90% new. If they were posted on second-hand websites, it would not be a problem to sell them for tens of thousands, which would be enough for them to live for a while.

After sorting out the things, Su Yi looked at the time, went to the bathroom to run water, and directed the child, “Brush your teeth, wash your face, and go to bed. Do you want me to help you take a bath?”

Su Li’an was obviously unwilling, but he kept looking at the direction of the door, as if he was worried that Su Yi would slip away while he was taking a bath.

A little brat, he was quite suspicious. Although the two of them had become much closer after a night, he had not forgotten that the original owner tried to abandon him, so he felt insecure.

Su Yi thought about it and decided to open the bathroom door and watch TV in the living room to make sure that Su Li’an could see her.
