FSC [QT] Chapter 113.1

“According to the palace rules, young ladies are not allowed to step out of the Palace of Peace and Harmony after curfew. Before the selection, the managing nanny will instruct the young ladies on the palace rules.”

“Unless summoned by the noble masters of the various palaces, please do not go too far from the Palace of Peace and Harmony to avoid bumping into people you shouldn’t bump into.”

Today, Yu Yan was wearing the flowery uniform of a sixth-rank eunuch. The uniform of this rank of eunuch was scarlet, and the clothes were embroidered with python patterns.

If you didn’t look carefully, you might confuse this pattern with the pattern on the court clothes of princes and marquises.

Now the weather is gradually getting colder. When Yu Yan was young, he suffered several near-death injuries and his body was not in good condition. Therefore, he put on a cloak early after the weather turned cold.

The black fur coat and the scarlet flowery uniform matched each other, and there was a black gauze hat on his head. Two ribbons hung on both sides of his cheeks, fluttering in the wind and occasionally passing over his face.

Yu Yan’s appearance was rather delicate and elegant, and because he was castrated at a young age, his delicate appearance had an added touch of femininity.

His fair face and beardless face, against the background of the crimson color, made him even more charming.

But this beauty between masculine and feminine did not suppress his aura. On the contrary, if people did not know that the person standing in front of them was a eunuch, they would probably mistake him for a young prince.

Yu Yan himself did not like his identity, so he would not act in an androgynous manner like most eunuchs. He would not speak with a pinched throat, raise his fingers like an orchid, or deliberately make feminine gestures with his eyebrows and eyes.

At this moment, he was standing in the yard, with a tall and straight figure like a green pine. Such an outstanding appearance made many women unable to resist their hearts beating.

But soon, those people realized that they were actually bewitched by a eunuch and forced themselves to have a little more disgust toward him.

“The palace is not like your home. In the palace, you are no longer the delicate young ladies at home. If you make any mistakes, I’m afraid your family will not be able to protect you.”

Yu Yan’s voice was soft and slow, yet it had an oppressive quality that could not be ignored.

At least, although these young ladies were dissatisfied with Deputy Eunuch Yu Yan’s preaching, no one dared to speak out in rebuttal.

“D*mn eunuch.”

Ah Wu’s ears were sharp, so she vaguely heard a curse.

She looked toward the place where the sound came from. She saw several young ladies standing there, with their heads down. She couldn’t see their expressions clearly and naturally didn’t know who had just cursed.

It was no wonder that Yu Yan was insulted like that.

Eunuchs have always been discriminated against. In the eyes of the outside world, such a thing that is neither male nor female, without the most important part of the body, will not be able to enter reincarnation even after death because their corpse is incomplete.

Not to mention that because of the appearance of Yan Zhongying, who meddled in politics and disrupted the government, the court and the people had a new resentment toward eunuchs.

Now they were not pointing at Yu Yan’s nose and scolding him in front of his face, it was purely because they were afraid of the power behind him.

But, from the bottom of their hearts, people like them had always been looked down upon.

No wonder there were so many perverted eunuchs in the palace.

First of all, there was the psychological gap caused by physical changes.

Secondly, there was the inferiority and resentment caused by the contemptuous eyes of the outside world.

It was difficult for anyone to remain normal under such circumstances.

Ah Wu looked at the figure not far away, wondering if the other party heard the curse just now.

But Yan Yu’s expression was still calm. He spoke slowly and leisurely about the rules of the palace.

Was it possible that he didn’t hear it?

For some reason, Ah Wu breathed a sigh of relief. If the other party heard it, he might be sad.

“Today, since the young ladies have just entered the palace, I will not arrange for the managing nanny to give lessons for the time being. This is all I have to say. I will take my leave.”

Yu Yan could not have appeared on such an occasion today. He just wanted to find a reasonable excuse to look at his sister.

Now that he has seen her, he feels at ease and does not stay any longer.

He comes and goes in a hurry. This could be referring to Yu Yan of today.

“Is that the deputy eunuch in the rumors? The one who killed the Marquis of Chengyi without changing his expression? He looks really good.”

“What’s the use of being good-looking? It’s still…”

Some words don’t need to be finished. Just leaving them halfway still can make people understand what she wants to express.

Ah Wu looked at Yan Yu’s back as he left. The surrounding discussions also fell into her ears. She pursed her lips and finally decided to follow.

Because Yu Yan just said that there would not be any classes on the first day in the palace, many young ladies who were interested in the Imperial Garden left the Palace of Peace and Harmony together.

Although it was a bit strange that Ah Wu left alone, it was not abrupt.
