The leader of the bodyguards was speechless, but he responded quickly, “Yes.”
How angry was the boss that he wanted to do it himself?
The leader of the bodyguards looked at the struggling Joseph and mourned for him in his heart. He probably didn’t know yet how terrifying the days ahead would be.
In the middle of the night, a dark shadow sneaked into the room.
When he saw the empty space beside her, he skillfully got into it. His movements were gentle and slow, but his speed did not slow down.
In the dark room, his dark eyes stared straight at her sleeping face.
Hughes looked at her slightly red and swollen cheeks. Every time he saw it, the anger in his heart couldn’t stop rising.
He held her in his arms, resting his chin on her head. Only his deep voice could be heard in the silent room.
“You are not allowed to leave me again.”
He could tell that once the little woman left him, she would be hurt.
He really wanted to put her in his pocket.
Suddenly, the person in his arms moved slightly. He was so frightened that he dared not move. He saw the little woman in his arms twisting her body and rubbing her head on his chest, which made his heart feel hot.
She seemed to find a comfortable position, murmured unconsciously, and fell asleep.
Hughes hugged her and closed his eyes.

On the balcony, Bei Yutang crossed out Joseph’s name in her notebook. The name under Joseph was the ‘just’ policemen who ignored the original owner’s life.
The mobile phone placed on the table rang, and Bei Yutang pressed the answer button.
“Hello.”
The private detective’s voice soon came from the other end of the line, “Miss Bei, the several people you asked me to investigate have all been fired. They have been unlucky recently, either owing a large gambling debt or divorcing their wives and children.”
Bei Yutang was stunned for a moment, a little surprised.
This was too much of a coincidence!
“With all due respect, they must have offended someone. They are now living on the streets. If you approach them at this time, people might misunderstand you and implicate you.”
“Okay, I understand. Thank you for the reminder. Please give me the address where they currently live.”
“Okay. I’ll send it to your phone right away.”
“Thank you.” Bei Yutang hung up the phone.
She used the pen in her hand to put a question mark on the names of those policemen.
With a ‘ding’ sound, Bei Yutang opened the text message sent by the detective.
Bei Yutang picked up her mobile phone, walked into the office, and looked at the man who was working hard behind the desk.
She coughed lightly and said, “I want to go for a walk somewhere.”
The man, who was reviewing the documents, raised his head and said, “Give me two minutes. I will go with you.”
Bei Yutang waved her hands repeatedly, “No, I can go there by myself. I’ll be back soon.”
“I’ll go with you.”
“I will never put myself in danger this time.” Bei Yutang assured him.
Unfortunately, her guarantee had no credibility to Hughes.
Hughes stared at her with his dark eyes, and three words escaped from his mouth, “Be good and listen.”
So embarrassing, was he treating her like a child?
“I…”
Bei Yutang wanted to say something, but when she saw the disapproving look in his eyes, she could only compromise, “Okay. I’ll wait for you.”
Half an hour later, the two people came to a bar and saw a lonely and drunk man lying in the alley of the bar. He was drunk and sloppy and collapsed on the garbage pile.
Bei Yutang looked at him and could vaguely recognize that it was one of the police officers.
