She was able to utter such curse words, and she even vowed to ask the imperial doctor to examine her body, so it didn’t look like she was telling lies.
Everyone couldn’t help but believe Bei Nianjin’s words. In their opinion, if her bold behavior was not true, how could it be possible?
You must know that this was a serious crime of decapitation, and the worst punishment was death.
The people watching were waiting for Feng Linyuan’s reaction, wanting to see whether he would kill her in anger or take her into the palace.
Feng Linyuan was so angry that he wanted to kill someone.
Feng Linyuan stared at Bei Nianjin with a cold face, “Since you said that I have a relationship with you… Where is the evidence? If no evidence can be produced, I will investigate the crime according to law.”
Bei Nianjin was stunned and felt a pain in her heart.
However, she was prepared. She took out a note from her sleeve. That note was the only thing left to her after he left that day.
Everyone stared at the note curiously. In their opinion, it must be a love letter or something.
Eunuch Xiao stepped forward, took the note from Bei Nianjin’s hand, and handed it to Feng Linyuan.
Feng Linyuan originally thought that it was some kind of love letter, but he didn’t expect it to be a simple sentence.
‘Jin’er, wait for me to pick you up! – Zijian’
Feng Linyuan looked at the note with a bit of laughter and tears. He looked at her coldly, “Just based on this fictitious note, you said that I had an affair with you?”
There was no concealed sarcasm in his tone.
Feng Linyuan threw the note to Eunuch Xiao.
Eunuch Xiao knew Feng Linyuan’s temper best and naturally understood what he meant. He immediately spread the note out for everyone to see.
The people around him craned their necks to read the content on it. Maybe the content on the note was not as exciting as they imagined. After reading it, they all had disappointed looks on their faces.
It felt like waiting to see a big show, only to find out that there was nothing.
Feng Linyuan was so angry with her that he could have ordered someone to take her down, but he had to wash himself clean today. Otherwise, he would not be able to let go of the anger in his heart.
“Serve the pen and ink.” Feng Linyuan said in a deep voice.
Soon, the maid took the paper and pen. He wrote that sentence himself in front of everyone.
Eunuch Xiao cleverly displayed the two pieces of paper side by side. The completely different handwriting could be distinguished even by the people who were illiterate in writing.
Now no one believed in Bei Nianjin anymore. Everyone looked at her as if she was a madman.
“What else do you have to say?” Feng Linyuan looked at her mockingly.
No matter how beautiful she looked at this moment, she still looked hateful in Feng Linyuan’s eyes.
Bei Nianjin turned pale, bit her lower lip, and said pitifully: “The child in my belly is enough to prove everything.”
Feng Linyuan was really speechless.
“What does your pregnancy have to do with me? What you need is looking for the biological father of the child. Come, take this woman to the sky prison and wait for her execution.” Feng Linyuan ordered coldly.
“Yes.” The Commander of the guards responded.
At this moment, people from the Marquis of Bei’s Mansion hurriedly arrived.
When Bei Changping heard that his daughter had sneaked out from Linshui Temple and she rushed to the imperial carriage on the street, his face turned pale with fright. He hurried over from the mansion, just in time to see the guards step forward to detain Bei Nianjin.
Bei Changping was really pissed off by this evil girl and wanted to go up and strangle her to save her from harming the entire Bei family.
