I Am That Little Fox [Quick Transmigration] Chapter 86: The Village Tyrant and the Little Educated Youth (1)
When the weather gets warmer, a few new educated youths come to the Yangmeiling Brigade, two men and three women, all young people seventeen or eighteen years old.
The old educated youth on the team led them to the educated youth point and introduced the situation of the team along the way.
“The big courtyard just now is the brigade headquarters. Meetings, broadcasts, and work points settlement at the end of the year are all there. The village primary school is next to the brigade headquarters. Several teachers are also educated youths. I will introduce you to them after school in the evening…”
These newly arrived young educated youths had grown up in the city and had never been to the countryside a few times, let alone work in the fields. Now they were looking around with curiosity.
Bai Xiaoxi is among them.
After the last world ended, she asked the system to seal part of her memory, and then unblock it after completing the entire world. So now, although she remembers what she did in the previous task, her emotions have been stripped away.
A girl asked the old educated youth: “Can we also be teachers? I don’t want to work in the fields, it looks so dirty.”
She looked at the paddy fields on the side of the road with disgust. Before the rice seedlings were planted, the fields were already filled with water, and a few small insects were appearing on the ridges of the fields.
The old educated youth looked to be in his early twenties. He should have been a high-spirited person at this age, but his face was rough from the weather. He smiled good-naturedly and said: “The quota of teachers is already full. In fact, they are not teachers. Just like us, those who get work points also have to go to the fields when farming is busy.”
“That must be easier. How did they become teachers? Can we take turns?” The girl asked the old educated youth, and several others were equally concerned.
Bai Xiaoxi didn’t care much. Although she had learned a lot in the past few decades and was more than capable to teach a few children, she would rather go to the fields and mountains than stay in the classroom.
Besides, she is very strong and has a greedy mouth, so she can earn more money to buy food!
But there is a problem…
She turned her head and looked left and right, and couldn’t help but poke at the system: “008, I don’t seem to have seen a single store. Where do people here buy things?”
The system said coolly: ”There is no store within ten miles. Private stores are not popular in this era. There are only commune supply and marketing cooperatives and county department stores. However, some things require tickets. To buy meat, you need meat tickets. To buy sugar, you need sugar tickets. If you don’t have it, you can’t buy anything.”
“So not only is there no milk tea, there is no milk candy?” Bai Xiaoxi suffered a huge blow.
“Right.”
The little fox instantly wilted and even wanted to cry.
