HITA Chapter 17

Today’s weather was nice and sunny. Shi Shuiyue moved a rocking chair and sat in the yard to bask in the sun. There was a small pond beside her. It was midsummer now, so the lotus flowers in the pond were blooming brilliantly. The alluring scent spread throughout the small yard.

Shi Shuiyue didn’t know what Tang Xing had been busy with lately. He hadn’t come to this courtyard for a long time, but Shi Shuiyue didn’t ask. Her injury was almost healed, and it was about time for her to go back. 

“Older Brother, you’re back…uh—who are you?” A beautiful woman suddenly burst in. She was somewhat confused when she saw Shi Shuiyue in the yard—who was this woman?

Shi Shuiyue, who had closed her eyes for a rest, opened her eyes and turned her head to look over. With this movement, the young woman was able to see Shi Shuiyue’s exceptional beauty.

Shi Shuiyue slowly stood up. She looked at Tang YU and searched for information about this person in her mind.

“Shi Shuiyue—your older brother’s…friend.” Shi Shuiyue paused for a moment when she said the word ‘friend’. However, she didn’t further explain.

Tang YU nodded—so it was like that. She knew there wasn’t such a person in their Tang Family.

Tang YU looked at Shi Shuiyue. For some reason, she had a good impression of her. Looking at her indifferent expression, Tang YU knew that she was really just friends with her older brother. However, this pretty older sister in front of her must be the daughter of a noble family. Tang YU reckoned that she didn’t hate noble young misses that much now.

“Are you looking for your older brother? He went out for some business.” Shi Shuiyue smiled slightly at Tang YU, and then went into the room.

After a while, Shi Shuiyue came back with some tea.

The two of them sat at the stone table in the yard. Tang YU was a very outgoing person, so she started chatting with her very quickly.

Shi Shuiyue didn’t mind and told Tang YU about some of the things that had happened.

The sky had gradually darkened. Tang YU still wanted to chat with Shi Shuiyue, but since it was already so late, she should go back first. 

“Heard my younger sister came over today?” The door was pushed open, and Tang Xing, who looked weary from traveling, asked as soon as he came in.

“Mhm.” Shi Shuiyue took a sip of tea, “She’s not bad.”

Tang Xing was slightly stunned, and then said with a smile, “With her temper, it’s quite rare for someone to compliment her like you.”

“I quite like her.” Shi Shuiyue thought about it and continued, “You’re handling matters related to the Wulin League.”

Tang Xing was already used to Shi Shuiyue asking questions in an affirmative manner, so he nodded. 

Shi Shuiyue lowered her head again and drank the tea.
